💙💛❤️🤍 Dear Naya,
Since the day we got sent into the hallway for laughing in the 3rd grade, I knew I had a lifelong friend. Friendship to me means more than most, as I am quite reserved and mingle, most, with those who are already a part of my intimate circle. From you, I have learned not only how to maintain a genuine friendship but also how to navigate through times of difficulty. Your resilience and strength is unmatched. You are the definition of indestructible. There is nothing you can’t achieve, and success will always be clear along your path. I will forever root for you, and I cannot thank you enough for always being the shoulder for me to cry on. With every late night talk, therapy session, nature walk, gas station run, McDonalds trip, and Up-Down escapade, I knew I would always be able to count on you.

There’s a saying that states, “Make good friends, not more friends. Friendship is about quality, not quantity.” I resonate deeply with this, as loyalty is a key component in how I operate in any relation. So, thank you. Thank you for always picking up my call, even though I know to call twice because of DND. Thank you for walking with me to the caf, because I didn’t wanna go alone. Thank you for simply taking time out of your day to ask, “How are you feeling today?”. Thank you for caring. Thank you for your kindness, your laughter, and your joyful presence. I am grateful to have embarked on this journey with you, as graduating from Fisk together was unexpected; however, true friends are never separated for too long.

Y’all I know I’m late to post but I just had to find the words to describe exactly how I feel… my sisters are the best thing to happen to me. They have been here in a time of darkness and light, they are the definition of through thick and thin. My best friends. A lot of yall might not know but this past year/semester was hard for me. With my mother fighting breast cancer along with my aunt battling pancreatic cancer, I just never knew who to count on during this tough time period nor who could really hear me. I never knew how to be so vulnerable but in my sisterhood it came so much easier.

My sisters found me during one of my darkest times, but feed me kindness and uplifted me to become a better woman. They have been there for me during one of the hardest times of my life. For that I am truly grateful and parts of me feel like I could never return that kindness. They never judge, they never hold things against me, they have really been my biggest supporters. I love my sisters through everything. I have learned so much from each and every one of them and couldn’t trade them for anything.

To my prophytes, thank you for always being like a big sister, for loving us, for holding us accountable and for spreading wisdom to us in any way possible. Although we’re all still learning you all have always pushed us to become the best versions of ourselves and to always be there for one another! Forever grateful🫶🏼

Sigma Gamma Rho has taught me to be patient, to be a stronger woman, to give, and to receive love and kindness all in the correct ways. I’ve learned the impact of giving back to my community and how important it is to continue to pour in. There are so many lessons I’ve learned throughout my everlasting journey and so many more to find, but knowing these women will always have my back is the biggest blessing. I am so grateful to have found this sorority along with these brilliant women!

To the 11 RPGs, I love each of you so much. You will always be my lovely, lovely ladies. You push me to be a Greater Woman and hold me to a higher standard. I can't wait to continue through this journey by your side and support you all through future endeavors.

To my pRHOs, you were all so incredibly welcoming and have supported me through my journey. I'm glad to have joined such an amazing chapter and look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together.

To all of the current Sorors who supported me, I would never have made it this far without you. From former Rhoer advisors to former Rhoers turned Sorors, mentors, and to all of my "auntie's", I am eternally grateful for all you have done for me. Many Σigma women acted as fantastic role models throughout my life.

To all the friends who shared in my excitement for this accomplishment, I am overwhelmed by the love you have shown me. Whether it was attending my presentation or decorating my room, or just acting as someone to turn to, you have made a lasting impact on my life for the better.

To my mother, I am so proud to carry on your legacy in this organization and appreciate all that you poured into me to make this happen.
