We are delighted to welcome Liz Anderson to the Class of 2026.

Liz is the Principal Designer of her firm, @lva_interiors. Born and raised in New York City, she brings a sophisticated design perspective shaped by her European heritage, extensive travel, and lifelong appreciation for art, fashion, and interiors. Liz’s aesthetic reflects a balance of timeless elegance and fresh modernity, blending traditional influences with contemporary living.

Liz began her career in fashion public relations before launching a home and gift accessories company, which she owned and operated for over 12 years. During that time, she designed original textiles and patterns and her collections were recognized in numerous national publications.

More than a decade ago, she transitioned her creative focus to interior design, formed LVA Interiors, where she leads residential and commercial projects throughout Connecticut, New York City, the Hamptons, Locust Valley, the Bahamas, and Florida and has been mentioned and featured in publications including AD and The New York Times.

Liz’s design philosophy centers on creating spaces that are a true reflection of her clients’ personalities, lifestyles, and aspirations. Rather than imposing a signature look, she collaborates closely with each client to elevate their vision and create the best possible expression of their personal style. Her interiors are thoughtfully layered, combining custom furnishings, carefully sourced vintage pieces, and well-curated ready-made selections to achieve spaces that feel collected, authentic, and enduring.

I was thrilled to be invited to be part of The Greenwich Historical Society’s Spring Fete. On this past Wednesday in May, I moderated a conversation with the interior designer Tom Scheerer and the day was perfect in every way. Set under a beautiful tent right on the water with magical views, tables were set for the luncheon with the most charming green and white gingham tablecloths with spectacular flowers. We took to the stage to delve into the pages of his latest book, Still Decorating, and discussed eight of the twenty projects, from Maine to Palm Beach. I am lucky enough to have interviewed @tomscheerer before, and he truly is one of the great American decorators today. There are designers who create beautiful rooms, and there are designers who design rooms people actually want to live in. He does both — and makes it look effortless. His interiors possess an ease and comfort -- a nonchalance, and pragmatism. He has a signature identifying lexicon of decorative elements-- cerused finishes, bird prints, Thonet bentwood chairs, Saarinen tables and wicker-- and yet the same elements create completely different outcomes depending upon the setting. The interiors he creates are always setting-appropriate and he juxtaposes wicker and rattan (and an Ikea piece or two) that hold their ground next to fine pieces, creating an enviable alchemy. The Greenwich Historical Society preserves the history and character of Greenwich, ensuring future generations can continue to learn from and enjoy it. Thank you to the committee, trustees and everyone involved for the most fabulous day. I grew up in Connecticut, and seeing so many lifelong friends and meeting fabulous new ones was special beyond words.

Hidden roll down screens make this open air veranda in Greenwich insect proof without compromising views and sunlight

We updated the pool and surrounding stonework and added a spa. The new veranda in the background has screens that roll down for entertaining during dusk all while complimenting the architecture of the existing home and grounds.

When it’s April and still in the 30’s, turn on the ceiling mounted heaters and roll down the panels to pretend spring is here while you enjoy the outdoors.
