It takes Saturn about 30 years to return to da position it was in when you were born i.e. “Saturn Return”. I believe we are experiencing a Saturn Return for da most influential decade in Black culture: 1995-2005. For da next 10 years we will be celebrating 30 year anniversaries for classic albums, films, tv shows, innovation, unprecedented events in business, politics, and social movements, fashion trends, and art.

I Sat w/ da brilliant, talented, prolific @eshiitaughtme
To discuss Monica’s debut album “Miss Thang”, which turned 30 in July (she dropped an ep on 11/22/95). In our conversation she treats da album like a person and breaks it down via birth chart and card science ♥️♣️♦️♠️.

my sis @marylinzuniga asked me to say more about jupiter crossing my midheaven. jupiter is the planet of expansion, growth, and abundance. it doesn’t play small.

right now, jupiter is transiting cancer ♋ and will be there until next summer. soooooo the real question is: where is jupiter in your birth chart?

to find it, you’ll need your birth date, time, and location. then pull up your chart and look for jupiter ♃. wherever cancer is in your chart, that’s the house where jupiter is blessing you this year.

here’s jupiter through the houses:
1st — blessings through self-expression + confidence
2nd — money + resources expand
3rd — voice, writing, and communication open new doors
4th — home, family, and roots are blessed
5th — creativity + children thrive
6th — work + health routines expand
7th — partnerships + contracts bring blessings
8th — intimacy, shared wealth, investments grow
9th — travel, spirituality, teaching expand
10th — career + visibility are blessed
11th — community + networks expand
12th — spirituality, rest, + hidden blessings grow

my jupiter in cancer in the 10th house is why i’m called to step into visibility and leadership — and why i expand others through love, care, and the truth.

👉 want help finding your jupiter? DM me and i got you.
👉 hosting a retreat or workshop? invite me in to hold space for you and your participants — to help everyone tap into their own expansion.
👉 and if you’re ready for executive coaching to step into your full potential, reach out. this is for the leaders, visionaries, and creators who know they’re here to do big things. this is my work. this is my joy. let’s grow together.

this footage is from our joy and pain, like sunshine and rain retreat a year ago. curated by myself @brittctann @marylinzuniga and @xo_nifa_akosua in collaboration with many others. funding was made possible by the kataly foundation, @pinterest @akonadifoundation and @bryrclogs. these photos and videos are by @dwebb510.

Reflecting on last year’s impactful community listening session, hosted at Airship Laboratories in Richmond, California, in collaboration with @ybca and the @calartscouncil. As part of a network of grassroots organizations, we co-designed a grant-making process with community members and financial institutions to address what the community wanted in the area of art, culture, health and wellness. This initiative enabled us to hire artists for one year to bring these community-driven projects to life.

Let’s keep pushing boundaries and reimagining philanthropy!

We can feel the love in our hearts when we think back to our Community Listening Session in Richmond. Massive love to our brother @kvnalln for bringing so much magic to the room with his idea to start off with our Real Richmond Love Stories. We were honored to have BE-IMAGINATIVE partner with the wonderful folks at @ybca and @calartscouncil for this co-designed-grant-making experience that's all about centering the voices and experiences of the community.

We got real vulnerable and shared stories about what makes Richmond such a special place, and it was beautiful to witness. We honored our ancestors, ourselves, and all the wonderful people who make Richmond what it is today. This is what community is all about, coming together to uplift and celebrate each other. Big thanks to YBCA and CAC for putting your money where your mouth is.

FOR THE HAYWARD ARTISTS: We are at it again April 23rd at 6PM PST in Hayward, CA. Link in bio.
