We are ending our sneak peeks with a beautiful trailer from MFA Linjie Yang for her thesis film “Feathers and Leaves”. An acorn adopted and raised by a blue jay dreams of flying—but as he grows, he must confront who he truly is, and where he truly belongs.

We can’t wait to see this gorgeous film on the big screen! Please follow Lin at @lychee.yum and check out her incredible talent. Film will premiere this Saturday, May 17th.

Lin predicted that I would post today’s eat out, and express how grateful I am to have a friend group like this. You know what, SHE IS THE Oracle. Also, TVP 12 is one hella surprise. The last version released in 2013. And if there is no Tvpaint I wouldn’t want to be an animator in the first place. Today’s a slow and unproductive day. But a chill day nonetheless.

I started this animation a while ago and I decided to finish it yesterday! Have been working on it little by little after work to just cool down and have fun with animating something silly. 😁✨
-
- I animated it straight ahead on paper, it isn't perfect and I see mistakes but I enjoyed it and that's important!
-
- The character design is by @lycheeyumg , it isn't exactly on model either and I accidentally changed a few things while animating. But thank you for letting me use this monkey design he's so cute! 🥰
-
- Also in the second slide I made a picture of my crappy recording set up, haha it's funny to see behind the scenes, if it works it works!😂
