What a wonderful month of celebrating Latin/Hispanic authors and their beautiful stories! From historical fiction and romance to poetry, YA, and middle-grade fantasy, I enjoyed every moment of this reading journey! 🇨🇺 🇧🇷 🇩🇴 🇭🇹 🇵🇷

Celebrating Latine stories, authors, and the community that makes our reading worlds a little bigger. ❤️📚🇬🇹

As a proud first-generation Guatemalan American, diversifying my reading has helped me reconnect with my roots and discover stories that reflect pieces of who I am. It may be the final days of the Latine Heritage Month here in the US, but for a lot of us this month is our daily lives. A lot of our collective experiences can be reflected in the books written by Latine authors. If you are curious about our culture, our upbringing and our fears, I invite you to pick up one of the wonderful books on this list.

I'll be posting 2 or 3 more parts with authors that identify as Latine or Hispanic. I hope you enjoy these stories and read diverse all year long.

From September 15 through October 15, we take extra time to recognize the contributions Hispanic and Latine communities have made to U.S. culture and history.

As I was looking through my shelves, I started pulling out books by Hispanic and Latine authors and realized I had more than I thought. These aren't all of them, but putting this list together was a great reminder of how many incredible stories, perspectives, and experiences have found a home on my shelves 🧡
