Both my sister @amandawingert1 and I have been battling breast cancer. I honestly don’t mind sharing a lot of things with my sister, but breast cancer is one thing I wish nobody ever had to share together.
If you would like to join us in supporting women who are fighting this disease, I would love that. And if you are able to donate, even a small amount can make such a difference especially for women who, unlike us, may not have the financial means or insurance to afford the treatment they desperately need.
To put this into perspective, in just four months, with four surgeries and treatment, my insurance has been billed $1.3 million.
Let that sink in.
And I’m not even finished with treatment.
How can someone who has fallen on hard times, someone without good insurance, or someone with no insurance at all possibly afford this? I had to have every bit of the treatment I have received so far. Without it, I wouldn’t be here.
That is why supporting organizations that help women access breast cancer screening, treatment, and care is so important to me.

And ladies and gentlemen please check yourselves every month. Make it a habit. Pick a day, like the 1st of every month, and make it your reminder. That is the first step.
The second step is keeping up with your recommended yearly screenings. For some people, that may mean additional imaging, such as mammograms and or MRIs, depending on their individual risk and their doctor’s recommendations.
You owe it to yourself and to the people who love you to take care of yourself and be the healthiest version of you that you can be.
Please don't assume it can't happen to you.
I never thought I would be here again where I am today either. ❤️

My Daughter Eliza put the fundraiser together. Thanks Eliza ❤️
