Strive is really such a beautiful part of my life and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Fake out surprise pre-screening of our 2026 dance video, sleepovers, rehearsals, realizing custom ink is a bunch of jackals, and frolicking through fog. What more could I ask for? 🖤🔮

Lydia has been dancing for nine years and brings a strong technical foundation, musicality, and curiosity to her work as a performer and emerging choreographer. From 2016–2022, she trained with the pre-professional company at Leap of Faith Dance Company in Westerville, Ohio, studying contemporary, ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, tap, and hip hop under Kelley Haney and Jill Storey.

In 2026, Lydia graduated from Anderson University’s Dance Program, where she expanded her technique and performance range through training in release technique, Horton technique, ballet, tap, musical theatre, jazz, and improvisation. During her time at Anderson, she studied under Christine Colquitt-Thacker, Erich Yetter, Doug King, Debra Silveus, and Jennifer Thiemet.

Lydia also performed works by acclaimed guest choreographers, including Nicole Clarke-Springer of Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, Stuart Lewis of Dance Kaleidoscope, and Randall Flinn of Ad Deum Dance Company. In recognition of her dedication and artistry, she received Anderson University’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance awards for Excellence in Ballet and Recognition in Tap.

A self proclaimed history and music lover, Lydia enjoys bringing her passions together by exploring the histories of dance and music and drawing inspiration from both in her choreographic work. She is thrilled to return to Strive Dance Company for her third season, where she looks forward to continuing to grow as a performer and strengthening her connection to the Indianapolis dance community.

Post @strive.dance.company depression / Boredom is hitting Hard! I miss everyone a ton and can’t wait to be back for Ramble On: The Led Zeppelin Experience next year. Seriously, what an amazing group of Artists. HERstory was my first show with strive and it brought so many talented individuals together. I’m so proud of what we accomplished 😎😎😎

I don’t even know where to start with this show. From the start I knew it would be difficult, not only from a stamina and endurance perspective (13 out of 18 dances is a lot apparently), but from a skill and comfort level too. But this group of people made it so much easier, from helping each other when we’re confused to making sure we’re all comfortable with all the lifts and partner work, things that are still very new to me personally.

I’m really bad with words and my brain is still fried, but i just want to say that while we hit some physical and mental roadblocks throughout the rehearsals, both as a whole and for me personally, we continued on to put on an incredible performance. This show has made me grow so much as both a dancer and a human, and I’ll forever miss it <3
