Google knows that I changed childish show titles from the Instagram video yesterday and found the photo logos of childish shows that I hate

The current show on repeat is PBS’s Lyla in the Loop. I’m not familiar with it (I’ve been on summer break for 2 months!!) , but Abe is loving it.
An episode today used broken crayons to make new crayons. An old idea, but new and amazing to the 6 year old! 😝
So we gathered crayons, even found a car shaped mold and gave it a try.
Our mold was a bit large, so we only ended up with one (honestly, half) a crayon- but Abe was satisfied.
A win! And it makes cool red tire tracks!

Happy August! ☀️It's Back to School Month! Time to gather the supplies, prep the backpacks, and get ready to meet the teachers.

Having a morning checklist can help ensure that everything gets taken care of before heading off to class. Here's an example from Lyla and the Loop and @pbskids!

What would you include on your morning checklist?

Mommy’s Hair Salon 💁🏽‍♀️✨

& today we are tackling Novah’s hair! She wanted NO beads which shocked me but also I ain’t mad at it 😅

We did two blue glitter butterflies + a few blue beads in the front for her Eli’s shower & called it a day 🙌🏽

I keep seeing mini twist tutorials where people are braiding the hair down first to avoid the hair tangling as much but honestly I’m not the fastest or best braider so rubber bands is what I went with 😌

Here’s a new episode of @lylaintheloop in “Treasure Hunters & Super Stu”. First, Lyla, Luke, and Everett look for buried car keys at the beach. Next Lyla, and Everett take Stu would you like to go to the park to find inspiration for their comic “Super Stu” and realize that he can’t solve the problems on his own and needs their help.

WOW! 🤩 We are still reeling from such an incredible day spent with our community at Be My Neighbor Day! HUGE shout outs to our staff and volunteers, to our sponsors @epbchattanooga, @cocacolaunited, @chattlookouts, and @plainviewoutdoor, to our many non-profit partner organizations that joined us on the lawn, to our guest readers and performers, to our volunteer ASL interpreters, and of course, TO YOU! We were so thrilled to partner with our friends at the @bessiesmithculturalcenter this year to help bring this event to an all-new neighborhood - THANK YOU! We can’t wait for next year! #ChattaNeighbor

Thank you @pbskids for being the safe & trusted programming you’ve always been since before we had our own kids.💜

This is what representation looks like for our little black girl: @lylaintheloop 🤎🎀💆🏽‍♀️ Beauty, brains, hair & a whole lotta #BlackGirlMagic

If you’re looking for better screens time options for your kids, PBS KIDS should be in constant rotation. (This is not an add, we’re real life supporters & this game gets up through hair days🙌🏽)
