nothing gold can stay ⭐️

growing up inside these walls has been an absolute dream, i could not have asked for a better support system and a better senior year. i’m leaving this studio with many lessons learned, i did it for myself with the support of my family and friends. dancing truly found me when i was in desperate need for some good. i am eternally grateful to every coach, family member, and friend who got me through my time as a dancer here.

ending my senior year without my teammate tori has put a damper on my my spirit forever, but her impact on me will fill the gap in my heart that was put in place by her loss. i am endlessly proud of my team and our perseverance through the season under our circumstances.

i love dance productions and i want everybody to know it ! without this studio i would be nothing. although it’s hard, the future is excited and my next steps are waiting for me, i’m on fire !

the art of loving (dance)

My 10 year competitive dance journey has come to an end. Here is my love letter to it, everyone I met and everything I experienced along the way. Goodbye competition/studio, hello collegiate. 💌

Lyla Perrell — our graduating senior and TOP score of the weekend at Encore 🤍✨ what an incredible accomplishment! We are beyond proud to have you call DP home. Your talent is unmatched, but it’s your heart, leadership, and the way you pour into the younger dancers that truly sets you apart. You continue to inspire us every single day.

Keep doing your dance, Lyla… your future is so bright 💫

MEET THE GRADS 🥹💙

The 2025–2026 season is here, and it’s the final one for our Class of 2026 seniors. With 15 grads this year, we might need a wide-angle lens just to fit them all in 🤭 But seriously, we couldn’t ask for a better group to lead us into the new season. Here’s to making it their best year yet 💙

GREATEST ALBUM INTRO OF ALL TIME 🐯

wanna be startin’ somethin x @michaeljackson

this clip makes me smile so big! 😁 recently been teaching and reconnecting with the community back home and it’s been so rewarding and fulfilling to see my home team continue to grow with new faces and new spaces.
.
.
it reminds me of getting my footing as a choreographer in my earlier days of teaching for the community and looking up to so many community all stars who were around my age now. i was so grateful then for everything i could learn from them and honored now to call them family STILL!
.
.
it’s the circle of life lmfao and the community is in such good hands, its beautiful to see! 🥹

.
big shout out to @ldcclt for having me and to all the spaces in NC training the next generation of hometown heroes! ❤️
