INSPIRATION: #walkforpeace #Love #Peace #valentines #sharing 🫶♥️🧡 ☮️…. Let’s Go! 🌹 💐 🌹

Anyone else missing the love; the hope; the peace that was/is the Walk for Peace USA in which a wonderful group of Venerable Monks, led by Venerable Bhikkhu Pannakara, have just completed a 2,300 mile walk from Texas to Washington DC?

Their parting words of inspiration to all of us, on completion of their wonderful journey, were “ we warmly invite you to continue walking this path of peace, mindfulness, loving-kindness and unity…”

I was sad when the walk ended but decided to flip that by following the venerable monks instructions above - seemed especially relevant on Valentines Day! ❤️

We were starting SMALL 😂….

We bought a bunch of 12 roses and set off to Eastham Woods, UK, to find some unsuspecting recipients 😂 ❤️ 🌹

Never done anything like this before but our aim was to hand a single rose to 12 people and hopefully brighten their day ☮️

We were a bit apprehensive at first, but we met some lovely people, whose reactions soon put us at ease. We hopefully added a little rosy zing of ‘all good things’to their days - we certainly felt uplifted by the positivity, the feelgood factor and joyous banter generated along the way. ;) Still smiling 24 hours later 🥰

A privilege to meet M and her gorgeous dog who enthusiastically embraced the concept and ran with it … almost literally 🐕 . (Hoping she sees this - thanks for being such a sport!) …

The two lovely nursery nurses who showed us the Makaton sign for “Thank you” - eyes leaking…. 😭

And last, but by no means least the lovely ladies @mimosateagarden who allowed us to briefly “invade” their kitchen to present our final rose to say “thank you” for being fabulous all year round🌹 x

Thanks again everyone, to the venerable monks for acting as a catalyst and to everyone reading this also ….. pls help yourselves to a virtual rose 🌹 🌹 🌹 xxx

Happy Valentines Weekend ♥️

Images of the venerable monks @walkforpeace.usa - hope it is ok to share - happy to take down if not x

Just a “Perfect Day”; one of those days when everything aligns.

Good food; good company @lynn_power; interesting conversations with some really lovely people.

Wonderfully curated #art with friendly and knowledgeable hosts @oilartadvisory in King St (give them a follow to view their online gallery ❤️) See next post also!

And beautiful architectural delights in abundance around every corner (as soon as you alight the train).

We asked some locals for lunch recommendations and @thelostandfoundknutsford WAS indeed a find! I know 😂 🙃 😆

Superb service from Oliver provided the icing on the cake - I’m on a roll now 😂🙃 😂

Lots of “wow” moments!

Rain? What rain?

QUESTION: Can any media peeps advise on why I lost the “K” on Knutsford? User error no doubt ?!?! I’m not finding the new Insta as easy to use but I’m no quitter 😆

“Getting eyeballed by Salvador Dali on a historic Cheshire High Street“ isn’t something you say everyday… we had to investigate 👀 🧐

Had we discovered one of the best art galleries we’ve seen in a while @oilartadvisory … oh yes!

Treasures everywhere you turned and friendly, knowledgeable hosts, who added even more magic ✨

Every picture did indeed tell a story.

Check out the wooden sculptural piece - up-cycled from a fallen pear tree 🍐 in the artist’s garden .

And the tiger artwork which could easily be mistaken for a photograph - testament indeed to the skill of the artist. Such detail - hard to comprehend.

Fabulous start to a wonderful day (more about that soon!)

Give @oilartadvisory a follow to check out their online gallery … although recommend a visit if you can, as the gallery has an awesome vibe, best experienced in person!

We will return. ❤️

AND THE ANIMALS WALKED TOO!
CZ Volunteers Virtual Walk Update... FINAL RESULTS IN:

Miles walked 2,223.19
Money raised £2,035

Soo honoured to have been able to take part in this and to have walked to the Zoo, twice, and back for my personal challenge ... it’s miles Ha Ha 😂 (50).
Re the total distance walked, I am clearly rubbing shoulders with Olympians ... and that includes the Volunteers’ dogs, who took part too!!!
🐕 😂 🐕
Thanks everyone for keeping me, (a lifelong pen pusher), going and for your support.
I know the Zoo will put this money to good use, preventing extinction in UK and around the World.

VIRTUAL WALK WITH THE CHESTER ZOO VOLUNTEERS Cont
My personal challenge for March in support of the @chesterzoo Volunteers Virtual Walk is to walk to the Zoo from my house and back, twice = 50 miles. Due to lockdown, this is taking place in Port Sunlight.

Three weeks in and I’ve done 3 stretches. (How did that happen😂???)
Am currently at the Zoo (virtually) for the second time and will be walking home next week #yay #lastlap

Important for me to have all my senses aligned, and correct PPE!
So my perfume for today was Bath House ‘Frangipani and Grapefruit’.... My jam was Olly Murs on repeat... and mask by Studio Masachuka ! (Most important piece of kit)
🎶😷👍🥰🥾💚

Seriously though... so important that we continue to strive to protect our wildlife. Thanks for your ongoing support... you legends 💚🥰😘

“Step Aside Roman Army of Deva - The Chester Zoo Volunteers are Coming Through!” 💚

Delighted and privileged to be #walking shoulder to shoulder with the @chesterzoo Volunteers this month, (albeit virtually) in support of our beloved conservation charity! And in the footsteps of an Andean Bear, too!
#whoknew 😮 🐻 😮

Taking part in something like this feels so uplifting, creating such a feeling of positivity and hope. A new dawn is in our sights... a day when our beloved Zoo reopens and we can all work together in ‘real teams’ again! 💚

Just hope the knees hold out- they’re on their last legs ;))

Well yesterday was such a positive day on so many levels! A landmark day, when I dusted down my DMs, (my “work boots”- bottom right), after exactly one year of neglect in the cupboard! To me, they now symbolise #hope, that finally there may be a light at the end of this tunnel we’ve all been in.
I practically #flew around the village, which looked particularly awesome with its floral carpets!

I’m up to something, as well ?! 😂😂😂 Of course 😂😂😂
More soon 👍💚xx

I’m not doing a “top 9” thing, mostly because I don’t like being told what to do. Instead, here’s a reminder of our holiday, which despite being cancelled, was a whole load of fun.
