As Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 2027 starts to gain momentum I am looking back on the moments I captured whilst @ladyburnhouse in May this year.

So much laughter, so many smiles, so many conversations that inspired change, transformation and reflection. The delicious #vegan food, the quiet mornings in meditation, the sunshine, the mystical mist that rolled in, the cows and birds. Lochs and hills. This snippet barely touches the surface of the magic we all experienced and best of all those that missed it get a chance this time next year.

Yesterday @thisislouise ran her first marathon, her first big race and her first ultra, making it all the way from Glasgow to Edinburgh in the near constant, heavy rain. Aside from a few panic moments involving wrongly believing the cut off times to be more aggressive than they actually were, (😭) all went smoothly. I never had a doubt that she could complete the run and now that she has I’m so overwhelmingly proud. On a side note, our wee guy ran the last 400 m round the race track with his mum(2 hours after his normal bed time), not stopping once, even though he was ‘puffed out’ and his legs were tired. He’s definitely starting to get the idea that magic happens when we don’t quit when things are hard. If any parents out there ever feel guilt or doubt about spending time away from their kids to pursue a hobby, I reckon it’s worth knowing that showing them what you can achieve by doing things that make you feel proud is just as cool as taking them to the park!

‘Yay! It’s February and mummy says there are LOADS of birthdays coming up which means LOADS of biscuits for me! Today is the lovely @lynnecrossan’s birthday.
