Today I want to honor and celebrate three VERY SPECIAL “other” mothers to me. Mary Duncan Hall, Lynn Ross Lackey and Karen Ross Spencer When I was a girl in the 1980s, I spent almost every free day with Mary Duncan, Lynn and Karen. 😍😍 They were all very close to my Mama, went to church with us and were neighbors of ours who lived beside each other “on top of the hill” in Forrest Hill Cove.❤️Karen drove a mustang with t-tops, so that made her extra cool.😍😍 In the summer we spent most every Sunday afternoon on Karen’s pontoon boat in Grenada Lake. Their fun group of 30-40 something age friends taught me to love music from the 1960s. We would dance on the deck of that boat until dark. 💃🏻💃🏻 I was free labor for both of Mary Duncan’s daughter’s big southern weddings 😂😂 I helped MD set up, break down and return all the rentals. She taught me that you can make ANYTHING classy with magnolia leaves and white candles😂😂😂. We cut magnolia leaves off every tree in Thimmes Subdivision for decor! Helen and Melinda’s weddings were my first experiences in event planning!❤️❤️❤️ Karen and Lynn got COUNTLESS hours of free babysitting from me.😂😂 I love Phillip, Kathryn, Rainey and Leland like my own little ones❤️ These three women made such a impact on me when I was growing up...and of course we have LOTS of funny stories. I love you ladies very much. Happy Mother’s Day and thank you for loving me and my children like we are your own. ❤️ #keepgoing #choosehappy #mothersday #othermother #happygirlsaretheprettiest #queencitymagnolia #grenadamississippi
