Four years ago today, on October 7, 2022- my father Morris Walker passed alway. Time changed for me@after that in ways I can’t put into words. But one thing I know and still feel is the love my dad had for me, my sister @amorisw and my mom @lynnwwalker . Love transcends time. This photo is from 2017 when I painted what would become his favorite mural of mine called “Maya” in Corvallis, OR. Thank you for everything dad- I love and miss you more than I can ever say.

This week we celebrated my second niece, Chloe’s 1st birthday with @amorisw & @lynnwwalker and it was so special. Seeing her grow and interact with her older sister who’s already 7 is so wild and wonderful. I’m so proud of them and am honored to be their uncle. ❤️ great work on raising two awesome kiddos Sis!

Happy Birthday to my father, Morris Walker. If he was here today he would be 81 years old ✨… it’s been 3 years since his passing but not a day goes by where I don’t wish we could sit down and play some music like we used to. Adios 2025! What a year of all the feelings, adventures, murals, friendships, highs, lows, wins, losses, tears and laughter. All wrapped up into a package of experience and dusted with a sprinkling of extra knowledge and humility. A few dream projects became a reality this year for me- one that I manifested 15 years ago and a few more that were on my radar for awhile… proving that dreaming big works, it just takes time to come to pass sometimes- so never give up your goals or ambitions as an artist (or whatever you may love to do). ✨ My amazing sister @amorisw gave birth to my second niece, Chloe and changed our lives again… now my mom @lynnwwalker is a grandmother again and I get to be an uncle to two super incredible kids! The adventures of my year with family and friends have carved their way into my mental memory book, never to be forgotten. I’m looking forward to making the year of the Fire Horse 🔥 one for the books… and creating some of my best art yet. Thank you all for following my journey and I wish you all the love, success, happiness and joy possible! And, of course, peace on this earth for everyone. Today marks 3 years since my father passed away peacefully while holding the hands of the ones he loved most, me, @amorisw & his beloved wife @lynnwwalker . It’s still beyond surreal and will always feel that way I guess. I honor him by doing the best I can in life and in my art and loving my family and friends as he did. He wouldn’t want me or anyone else to be sad about him being gone, rather, he’d tell you to go have a Fabulous day and chase your dreams… ✨ So in honor of Mo- go chase your dreams today and smile as you do it! I painted this portrait of him earlier this year and I think it captures his essence quite well. My mom made a homemade #lei for him the day he passed and he was wearing it as we said Aloha to him when he left us. I love you dad and you are missed beyond belief… but I bet it’s fabulous where you are at now… 🌙 #love #dad

Three years ago today, on October 7, 2022- my father, Morris Walker passed away peacefully at home. We held his hands as he transitioned out of this realm and into another. It was the most powerful moment I’ve ever experienced and I miss him more than I can ever say. This portrait is in honor of Mo… and even if you didn’t meet him- I hope you get a sense of who he was from this painting.
