Been just about a year since The Old Queens: Suzy, Bollocks, Lynx retired. That went fast and I feel like I have zero additional free time! But when we were IN we were IN 100%. No idea how we did it, but we did! 🖤🖤🖤

Thanks to everyone who in person or online bid at the Gotham Roller Derby silent auction. Honestly, it was difficult to see our history pieces for sale because a practice space and storage unit have become unsustainable for the sport and it’s the best fiscal choice to auction items off. I’ve heard from many community members who purchased the items and gave them a loving home ❤️ . And it was fun to see my Jam City Rollergirls video game cardboard cutout again. (That was too special to auction off!) Keeping roller derby alive is harder than it’s ever been, so thanks to those doing the work to fight to stay in it. (Chugs, Bush, Nela MVPs of the auction!) and thanks for hosting @grimmales your sour beer and cheese plate made my night!!

Saturday was the Gotham Roller Derby end of season wrap party. They surprised me by retiring my jersey number 55 Ave Dr Rd St (Queens, if ya know ya know!) Hugest honor to be in a group with league founder Chassis Crass, and legends Bonnie Thunders and Sexy Slaydie. Special night to celebrate retiring with my old Queens Bollocks, Lynx and Bonesey, and even Junior old timer Little Orphan Slammie! Future looks bright with Wheelwolf and Clare Higgins there to continue on. Thanks to everyone (especially Chugs and Mighty) for always putting together nice things for us! ❤️ 🛼

The Persuader, the Queens of Pain original mascot, who has been retired for 14 years, was let out of his cage to cheer us on one last time, like a good boy should. (I am told his cage was relocated to Yonkers so that deserves EXTRA love) 🖤🖤🖤

To @bunnymcbones , @anabollocks , @lynx404 , and @suzyhotrod55 , congratulations on an incredible career on and off of skates in the world of roller derby. I cannot fathom the tremendous number of people you have encouraged to be a part of this sport, and to follow their sports dreams. My best to all of you in all of your journeys ahead!

GO OLD QUEENS! After 20 years it’s time for my home team besties Ana Bollocks, Hyperlynx and I to retire. Roller derby changed our lives and brought us countless true friendships with all kinds of people. Seeing 20 years of retired skaters in the crowd filled my heart with joy and excitement that the best part of derby, the people, doesn’t end when you stop playing. Thank you to all the retirees who came out last night to see us skate and to also celebrate Sexy Slaydie’s jersey retirement. ❤️ 🛼

Last scrimmage practice with my home team, Queens of Pain last night. I’ve been home team only since the 2015 season and it’s been a blast still playing high level derby in my hometown and getting to work with new skaters every year, sharing track time as they grown in confidence, skill and leadership 🥹. Also, I love you, Hyper Lynx, and I’m glad Bollocks, you and I will get to skate our last game together Saturday.
