RYLA 2026, I didn’t think you’d change my life as much as you did last year, but thankfully, I was wrong. I can visibly see the growth I had within just over a week. One main theme that stuck in my head throughout these difficult days was TRUST. Not only trust in those around me, but also trust in myself. I had to trust myself to be able to make the right decisions, often on the spot, and while I often was unsure of my judgement, I know now that trusting myself is so so important for success.
I knew immediately after my conferee year that RYLA was in my future, and I’m so glad it was. I’ve truly found a second home that I would happily call my first. Countless laughs, tears, and memories that I can’t physically take home with me will always remain in my heart from this conference.
To Team O, thank you for being such an amazing experience for my first year. We had a few rough patches, but never did I think you’d grow as much as you did so fast. I am so proud of each and every one of you, and know you’re going to become strong leaders for those around you.

Finally, to RYLA 2026, thank you deeply for changing my life, yet again. Love webs for all. ♾️❤️🕸️🤟

Coming back as a team lead has been the most rewarding experience of my entire life. Im so grateful for my fellow team leads and my amazing conferees, team C. You all have really changed my life. Words can't explain how much i love RYLA❤️ love webs to you all.

At first I wasn’t going to make a post about RYLA because I normally don’t post a lot but something compelled me to today for whatever reason. I love you guys so much and RYLA was genuinely such an awesome experience and I met so many new and great people. I’m truly grateful for everything I learned and everyone I met. #ryla #friends #exchange #exchangestudent #newlife

Ryla has changed my life once again. Coming back as a team lead after once getting rejected has taught me so much. First don’t give up if you really want something. Being a team lead taught me new kinds of leadership I’ve never experienced before. Leading a team of people just a couple years younger than you can be hard, but you have an amazing opportunity to have authority as a leader and to prove to yourself you are meant to be in the position you are.

I want to say a big thank you to the leadership team for always being there for me on the ups and the downs. Ryla has a way of pulling people together so so fast. You will build bonds faster than anywhere else in the world. Big thanks to the everyone(especially Carl and Maggie) for being amazing mentors throughout the week.

To Team B thank you for being a great first team. I hope you all take what you learned this week back to your lives. I hope you all know I’m proud of each and every one of you for getting out of your comfort zone and pushing yourself to be a better you. 🤟🏻❤️🕸️#ryla #lovewebs

RYLA 2026, you don’t know how much I love you.

In my four years with the conference, each first day back home has gotten harder. It’s tricky to say ‘home’, meaning house where my family lives, when I know my heart is stuck in split custody. Both places house my favorite people, but one has brought my best friends and most fulfilling moments.

I could ramble as I write this, cry as I think about it, or leave you with some simple thanks. I’m choosing the last option.

My belly is full from laughter. My mind is tired because this took work. My heart is content with moving on. I’m blessed to have given so much to this place. I’m blessed to have shared that effort with everyone involved.

If you’ve attended RYLA, I want you to remember that growth is a process. This conference ignites it, but you are responsible for it.

I made sure I knew that as I left after my conferee year, and it has gotten me far.

The exact words I told myself are these:

“You will be leaving this conference and returning to a community that needs you. You will step into classrooms, teams, organizations, and relationships where people will look to you for direction. At some point, you WILL wonder if you are ready. You will wonder if your work matters, if your decisions are correct, and if the people around you truly believe in you. I hope you remember that those questions do not make you a lesser leader. In fact, they can make you a better one.” - Maggie to Maggie (2023)

I am so grateful for my experience at RYLA, I made memories that I will never forget. I love everyone on my team, as well as everyone who also got to experience this. Thank you to all the people that helped put this together. 🤘🕸️❤️🫧
