One year ago, my best friend Lizzie married Greg in a Spanish fortress. It was the most romantic, silly, beautiful weekend. A real beacon in a crazy kooky world.

Happy anniversary to my favorite couple

Hearing a lot of talk about third spaces—might I offer the notion of a third city?

Also, justice for the emdash.

Last week I hosted the inaugural @scrollodex.studio Supper Club, a curated dinner series built around bringing together people who should know each other to exchange ideas, spark collaboration, and build relationships that extend beyond the table. And wow! I am still flying high!

The dinner took place at one of @meetresident’s beautiful spaces in East Midtown where guests gathered for drinks on the patio (summer nights have arrived!), followed by a gorgeous Middle Eastern inspired menu, prepared by chef @_embrulee with ingredients from @freshdirect.

The one and only @modi_live led kiddish for our Shabbat feast, and everyone passed around family-style platters of delicious food. It was a treat getting to introduce so many creative people to one another (assigned seats rule) around some good old fashioned conversation.

Here’s to the next one!

Last week, after a cloudy morning, the heavens opened up to a perfectly blue sky for a @scrollodex.studio IRL tour of the stunning Central Park Conservatory Gardens.

I invited a group of 14 guests for a gathering uptown where I led them through the recently renovated six acre garden, a place that feels hidden in plain sight. We walked around with cold cans of @aplos.world, literally stopped to smell the flowers (@servideo called us all over to smell the white peonies), and enjoyed a heavenly picnic by @kissbaby_ny and @lzznnn, with plenty of Aplós to go around.

I hope you’ll make a trip to see this magical gem for yourself this summer, so here are some garden fun facts below to guide your stroll:

🌸 This is the only formal garden in all of Central Park
🌸 This area originally grew plants for the park and later became home to large greenhouses and a conservatory
🌸 The Vanderbilt Gate at the entrance of the garden on 105th and 5th originally belonged to Cornelius Vanderbilt’s Fifth Avenue mansion on 58th Street, which shared a Plaza with The Plaza hotel. The mansion was demolished to make way for the Bergdorf Goodman building, but the gate was saved and installed here in 1939.
🌸 The garden is divided into three sections: the French Garden, Italian Garden, and English Garden
