Recently, women across the diving community have been speaking up about experiences of sexual harassment, assault and misconduct within our industry.

These conversations are important. They are difficult. And they deserve to be heard.

At Mirage, we believe diving should be a space built on respect, trust and safety, for everyone.

We stand with the women who have spoken up, those who are not ready to, and anyone who has experienced behaviour that made them feel unsafe.

You are not alone.

Please find in @girlsthatscuba Bio, the link 🔗 to help you report what happened.

One of the best things about diving is meeting people you didn’t know that morning and ending up having one of the best days together. 💃🕺

Gehienetan ez naiz mundu guztiak “bai ala bai” ikusi beharreko bezala hartzen dituen lekuen aldekoa. Gehienetan, horietatik aldentzen saiatzen naiz, edo behintzat garrantzia pixka bat kentzen.

Baina Blue Hole-k zerbait berezia du.

Ez dakit basamortu erdian duen kokapena den edo bat-bateko 124 metroko sakonerako zuloa den.
Ez dakit, inguruan duen arrezife kantitatea den edo bertan bizia galdu duten pertsonen historia den.
Ez nago ziur, mundu osotik bertara apnea praktikatzera etortzeak sortzen duen giroa den.

Baina niretzat, haiek han behera jaisten ikustea erokeria hutsa da.

Ez dakit zehazki zer den, baina leku honek energia desberdina du.

Kontatzen saiatzen naizen arren, hitzekin trasmititzea ezinezkoa den energia.

Zeure azalean, sentitu behar duzuna.

Milesker @m.ata111 📸 zure begiekin hemen sentitzen den guztiaren zati txiki bat harrapatzen laguntzeagatik.

Every great dive starts with a good setup👌🏽

Here’s a quick look at how I prepare my scuba gear before entering the water.

And a few things I never skip:

✅ Smell your air after opening the cylinder and before taking your first breath to make sure it smells normal and is safe to breathe.

✅ Before putting your equipment on, make sure all the accessories you’ll need are already attached or within easy reach (camera, torch, SMB,…).
And of course, don’t forget your dive computer, mask and fins🤿

✅ Always complete a buddy check before entering the water, and bring good vibes with you.

Save this post if you’d like a simple reminder before your next dive, and tag the dive buddy who always remembers what you forget😂

🎥Thanks to @dive_with_sheka and @ezzcubar for being my camera crew!
