Beginning what I hope to be a near weekly series of al fresco eats, fresh from my kitchen—when the weather, wind and mind allows. Kicking things off with this wonderfully done peach galette. If you've been here for a while, you know how much I love baked fruit, so there is always some iiteration of a peach galette happening while the peaches are in season.

This lovely takes ripe (yet firm) peaches that have been simmered in bourbon, brown sugar and thyme, which are then baked until bubbling while the butter-laden pie pastry becomes flaky and fluffy. Yum.

Added a little bit of Christmas to the coffee bar this year too ☕️

We’re having friends over today to eat charcuterie and watch the new Jonas Brothers Christmas movie and I am so excited! Have you seen it yet?

Hello from home! 👋🏼

Took a “day off” (kind of) today doing some house things (both shops are still open!) before hitting the road tomorrow, and thought it was a good time to share a little shop love. This time to @mavencollectpdx .

Kim and Jacky were some of the first to welcome me into this space almost a decade ago and we have so many of their amazing pieces in our home from over the years. Including this Modigliani piece in our living room. Recently Jacky has left on a new adventure of her own, but I’ll forever be grateful to both her and Kim for what they’ve brought to this space, not just their creativity and curation, but their community values. ❤️ @tabor_vintage @slowpoet.studio

Non-negotiables for a small space entry🚪

Just because it’s small, doesn’t mean it can’t be beautiful and functional. These are my go-to essentials for making a tiny entry feel international, organized and full of personality.

‼️ hot tip: think vertical storage for smaller spaces.

/ gorgeous primitive cabinet at @levityinteriors
/ loving my popsicle stick bowl from @m.goods.etc
/ footed vintage fabric stool from @shoppeamberinteriors

Which one do you already have? Which one are you adding?

The hardest working spot in our kitchen is finally making her debut on the feed ☕️

The coffee bar was a must for us when we were designing this kitchen and I knew I wanted it to be as functional as it was beautiful. It has a filtered water faucet, a sink with a wire rack inside for drying espresso cups, a pull out trash can for easy cleanup, lots of storage, a hidden paper towel holder inside the sink cabinet, and is near the fridge (because iced lattes forever). The hutch was designed for all the pretty things and I love having my favorite mugs and glasses on display and in easy reach. After five years with a coffee bar that wasn’t in the kitchen, the functionality of this space has been such a game changer and we love her very much 🥹🤎
