Soror Machaela Thomas (22BA24) graduated magna cum laude from the School of Allied Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science General. Throughout her time on the Hill, Soror Thomas showed her love for FAMU through service, leadership, and community. While in the chapter Soror Thomas served as Second Vice President (2025-2026), Membership Services Chair (2025-2026), The Mr. 1913 Scholarship Pageant Committee Chair (2024-2026), Scholarships and Awards Chair (2025-2026), and NPHC Committee Chair (2025-2026). She also served on other committees such as Fundraising, Showcase, Homecoming, Freshman Move In, Delta Week, Feeding Frenchtown, and more. Soror Thomas plans to continue her studies towards a career as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and Doula. We are so proud of Machaela and can’t wait to see all of the wonderful things she will do! #CongraDST

Stepping onto a new campus as a transfer, I could’ve played it safe… that’s not me though.

Taking that leap into the Mr. 1913 Pageant for the Real Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. became one of the most defining parts of my journey. What started as a risk turned into real growth, pushing me into a more confident and purposeful version of myself.

Being crowned Mr. Crimson and Cream for the 2024–2025 academic year is an honor I’ll carry with me forever. Serving on the royal court and representing something bigger than myself meant everything.

To my pageant brothers… the late rehearsals, accountability, pressure, laughs, and growth… we built something real. A bond that went beyond the stage.

To my court brothers, it was a privilege to reign alongside you.

And to my Miss Crimson and Cream, @_thebrianaj … knowing we come from the playground made this journey even more special. Full circle in the best way.❤️

Shoutout to Educere 60 for the love, energy, and genuine connections… and to the women of the Real Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.… thank you for trusting me and allowing me to serve.

What a ride this has been! I’ve grown in ways I never expected, and met some of the most genuine, hardworking, and inspiring individuals along the way.

I give all glory to God. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” There were moments where I questioned myself, moments of exhaustion and uncertainty but God continuously reminded me that His timing is perfect and His plan is greater. 🙏🏾

To my friends, supporters and everyone who believed in me: Thank you for being part of this journey and always showing up for me. This isn’t just my win, it’s ours.

A special thank-you to @chanelle_creations your creativity brought my vision to life.

To my family, especially my Mom: Thank you for your unconditional love and belief in me. Your sacrifices and support have built the foundation I stand on today.

To my pageant moms and dads: Your guidance, patience, and love made this experience so special. Thank you for seeing potential in me.

To my pageant brothers, we did it! Every rehearsal, every laugh, every moment, I’ll never forget it. Iron sharpens iron, and y’all truly pushed me to be better.

To my new court brothers: Congratulations to each of you! I’m proud to stand beside such driven, talented, and passionate men as we represent this legacy together.

To the Real Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Thank you for trusting me to represent such a powerful legacy. It’s an honor to stand beside such remarkable women who embody sisterhood, scholarship, and service. I promise to uphold the values of your chapter and wear this title with pride.

It was an honor grinding alongside yall boys. Every alignment, every tired moment, every thought of quitting — yall pushed me through. I’m a better person because of you. I’d pick my 10 over anybody else’s. Love yall forever.
