Week 5 is officially over! I had a lot of fun in our clinical skills labs this past week with CCC! We had our bovine lab and small animal (SA) skills. It was my first time practicing palpation on a cow, which was fun (although I may feel differently once we start working with live animals).

I also went to Guthrie with friends this weekend for Star Hollow’s Fall Celebration, which definitely makes me want to rewatch Gilmore Girls!

This past week involved a lot of studying, and I know the rest of this weekend and next week will be the same, so it’s going to be a busy one! We have a Theriogenology exam on Tuesday and Cardiopulmonary on Friday.

Week 6, here we go!!

woo hoo 25% DVM!!⚕️

as I complete my first year of vet school, I can say that when people told me the next four years of my life would be completely taken over by school, they undoubtedly meant it! I missed more events than I can count due to endless hours of studying and was not able to spend nearly enough time with my spouse, family, or friends, yet they supported me through it. The last two semesters have been great- Jacob and I got married, my family came to see me as often as possible, and I learned more about the small and large animal species than I ever thought was possible. I am so thankful to every single person for the unwavering support and to @okstatevetmed for this once in a lifetime opportunity. It means the entire world.
