Truly feeling like fall with the cold weather staying and the days getting shorter. It’s my favourite reading season… my favourite season in general. I recently enjoyed the fall festival at my farmers market and had the best time!

It inspired me together a little autumn book challenge because why not??

Fall I Want and The Emperors Enemy are still my tbr but the rest of these books were all so good and I can’t recommend them enough!! Perfect autumn reads!!!

as we enter the “ber” months and the latter half of the year, i wanted to know what books my lovely, perfect friends have enjoyed the most this year! if you don’t follow them, i highly recommend. and hopefully you get some stellar recommendations from this list! the genres range from romantasy to horror and i can’t wait to read all of the books i haven’t yet from this list!

if there’s one thing bookstagram has given me, it’s a wonderful group of people all around the world i am lucky enough to call friends. 🩷

With August coming to an end it’s only logical to start our fall preparations 🍂🍁

With books on our TBR (some still from summer 🫣), releases we are excited for, the buddy reads we will hopefully get through and the things we are looking forward too I would say our fall bucket list is stacked 😌

Summer Essential’s but make it books!!!

Saw this floating around the Gram and thought it looked fun!!! So here’s my take on it!

🌞𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧-A protective MMC- Erik Bloodsinger from The Ever King by @authorljandrews 🏴‍☠️ he’s unhinged when it comes to Livia and I freaking LOVE it!

🧊 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐫- A book with chill vibes-If It Makes You Happy by @julieoliviaauthor 🧡

⛱️ 𝐔𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚- A book with a shady character-Dire Bound-by @sablesorensen The first time he called her kitten…my spidey senses went wild!

🩴 𝐅𝐥𝐢𝐩 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐬- A book I have mixed feelings about-Crescent City- mixed feelings because of the mixed reviews I get from friends who have read it… do I or don’t I??

🌊 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐜𝐤- A book with suspense- Between Tides and Thunder by @leenakazakbooks had me in a chokehold for pretty much the entire book!!!

🧉-𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤- A book that altered my brain chemistry- Child of Shivay by @jrcathers the story, the world, the ending, the bonus chapter… IYKYK…. If you don’t, please come join us in the spiraling! It’s fun here!

👙-𝐁𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐢- A book I loved from top to bottom- A Flame Among the Seas by @authoremiliajae I’m literally in love with Drea and Esmi and this story!! Oh and the side characters!! I can’t get enough and I’m feral for the next book!

Happy Monday!!!

A little plum and green stack to start the week off! Thanks for the tag @everything_inbetweenbooks 💜💚

I finished the Sacred Stones Trilogy this weekend by @kategoldenauthor and I’m already missing the world so much!!! Definitely one of my forever favourite series now!! But I’ve also just started A Flame Among the Seas by @authoremiliajae and I’m already OBSESSED!! It’s perfect timing since I will be spending 3 days seaside this coming weekend and I can’t wait!!! Annual girls weekend filled with yummy food, wine, laughing, lots of beach walks and hikes, photography and a sense of peace I only feel on the quiet coast of Maine. And because I’m me, I’m always manifesting Erik Bloodsinger and The Ever Ship to appear… a girl can dream right?

QotD- Do you have a summer reading list??

Starting today with a little challenge from @glimmers.0104 because life has been busy and I’ve been spending my free time with my niece and nephew at the beach since school got out and not doing a lot of book content the past few weeks. They are only little once and I’ve been soaking up ever second I can with them.

I’ve also been reading a lot so lots of content incoming soon!!!

I know I’m not the only person who thought the missed a few chapters at the end. I checked my kindle and physical book to be and messaged a few other readers!!!

Anger 🤬 Gleam by @ravenkennedybooks
When Midas cut Auren’s ribbons , I cried and I raged. I’m not sure I’ve ever wanted to kill a book character like I wanted to kill him. Auren is one of my forever favourite FMC’s and my heart ached for her. She made sure he got what he deserved in the end.

I know, I know… one is coming soon but boy, did I want more after that little twist of an ending.

Depression 🥺 A Storm of Swords by @grrm_nm
Robb Starks death is always one that will haunt me. It was terrible because I had such high hopes for him and I loved his character. It was deceitful and gruesome, especially in the show, and if you read the books… the foreshadowing of it in the eyes of another character gave me the chills.

Acceptance🤩 a book I finally got around to reading and loved
Shield of Sparrows by @devneyperry
I have no idea how I didn’t pick it up sooner, but I got serious FOMO right before RotS was released and devoured it and loved every second of it!! It’s by far one of my favourite series and I’m so excited for the final book of the series next year!!!

The absolute top tier number one best experience from BoolCon 2026 was meeting the Queen herself, @rmgillig !!! I may have cried after, you’ll just never know! She signed my copy of The Knight and the Moth to Bartholomew and I got to tell her how much her books have moved me! I also got to see her panel with @victoriaaveyard @carissabroadbentbooks and @authorscarlettstclair which was fantastic and had us all laughing the whole time. I included some other BookCon photos including the sweetest welcome gift and itinerary for our weekend made by @whiskersinthepages . Yesterday was my bookstagram anniversary! I tried to get a margarita but by the time I got off work, everywhere had a 2+ hour wait so I settled for Italian margarita (pictured).

This last year of my life has been extremely fulfilling in so many ways. It’s very easy to get caught in this social media cycle of being disappointed with low engagement or losing followers, but when I’m able to look back objectively, my bookstagram journey has made my heart so full because of all the gifts it’s brought me. I’ve felt more myself after meeting my friends here than I have in over a decade. There’s nothing in that fact that I can be upset about. If you’ve been here the whole time or just followed me last week, thank you.
