Who would’ve thought a random haircut back in 2017 would lead to this full-circle moment? I met young Mike @m1ke02_ in the barbershop—wide-eyed, curious, and hungry for knowledge. He told me he wanted to be on campus one day… and here we are.

Fast forward, this young king is officially a MOREHOUSE MAN. (@morehouse1867 That shoutout in your video brought me to tears, bro. Being your mentor, your big brother, and just a part of your journey has truly made my day, my week, my year.

Mike, watching you follow in my footsteps—marketing, sales, and now heading to BOSTON for your MBA in ENTREPRENEURSHIP—man, that’s legacy in motion. I’m beyond proud of you. I love you, lil bro. You’re everything we hoped for and MORE.

This is what mentorship looks like. This is what brotherhood looks like. This is what #BlackExcellence feels like.

Welcome to the House. Welcome to the legacy.

Yesterday, our Construction Cohort and Men of Morehouse had the incredible opportunity to visit a @mccarthybuild site—an experience that offered more than just a look at blueprints and timelines.

As we recognize #constructionsafetyweek, this visit served as a powerful reminder that safety isn’t just about the individuals working on-site—it’s also about the surrounding community, the planning that happens behind the scenes, and the agility required to keep everyone safe.

The McCarthy team shared valuable insights about what it takes to build with care, intention, and awareness of the bigger picture.

These moments provide real-world experiences for our students, but also opportunities for our broader community to expand their resources and learn about new paths and possibilities.

We’re grateful to the McCarthy team for welcoming us and sharing their time and expertise.
