the arachnid project - arachnids, or spiders, represent patience, creativity, intuition, and feminine energy. i know this is a bit of an unusual post coming from me, but this year i’m trying new things and i wanted to share this project with you all. spiders have always been something that fascinated, yet scared me at the same time. i find that life is so similar. although it’s fascinating, it can be scary to try new things. i wanted to turn this symbol, the spider, into something that represents the better things in life instead of generating fear. with this project, i wanted to create something that combines this symbol and the things i love most: my friends, music, videography/creative direction, and designing clothes. from the spider-like webbing to the diamondback shapes displayed on the shirts, they are made to help people everywhere embrace their feminine energy and remind them to trust their intuition. while creating these, i’ve realized that the spider to me is a symbol of weaving your own web and building your own path to success. this year i’m building my web. 2024, the year of the spider.
