And that’s a wrap on Guys and Dolls. This show has had such a major impact on my life. I began it at a time where the most important thing I needed was friends and family, and damn did it give me that. Everyone tagged in this post and many people past that had such a major impact on me this semester and they’ll NEVER know how much they saved me. They taught me not to lose hope in people and that I’m never alone even when it most feels I am. They taught me to always have fun even in the darkest times. And above all, they taught me what a DAMN GOOD musical looks like. Thank you from the bottom of my heart guys and I can’t wait for what’s next. But, Guys and Dolls will forever have a place in my heart as the show that saved me.

Doing my month review now because Halloween gonna be its own chaotic post. This past month and the first few of my time at UVA has been so chaotic and a roller coaster of emotions. I’ve had some of the lowest points of my life here, but through the family I built at home and the family I’ve found at this new one, this month has turned out to be one of the best of my life. UVA and these people have truly become my home and I’m forever grateful for them.

Please join us in sending a well-deserved round of applause to the recipients of our 2024 scholarships, who were honored at our final performance of “Escape to Margaritaville” on Sunday!

These graduating seniors embody the spirit and legacy of the extraordinary individuals for whom each of our scholarships is named. Each recipient has been an active volunteer at Homefront Players, both on and off the stage!

🎭Cassidy Gibbs - Christine Rightmyer Memorial Scholarship

🎭Kamran Hamilton - Robert Rightmyer Memorial Scholarship

🎭Sierra Brown - Sarah Erway Memorial Scholarship

🎭Matthew Marshall - Megan Stoker Memorial Scholarship

🎭Danis Jones - Christine Rightmyer Memorial Scholarship

While we will miss each of these students at the Beaty Theater, we look forward to seeing what the future brings them - and we hope they will come back to visit us when they are on school breaks!
