#WVU freshman DJ Thomas has been impressive in practice as mentioned by Head Coach Ross Hodge during West Virginia’s press conference this past week:

The 6’7 forward had a stellar high school career at Allen (TX) as he averaged 10.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists during his senior year. His length and athleticism will be a huge asset for the Mountaineers in 2025-26. @dpt.jr #UpNext 🏀🏔️

#WVU guard Morris Ugusuk will have quality playing time for the Mountaineers in 2025-26:

The 6’4 Junior averaged 5.9PPG while shooting 38.4% from the field and shot over 40% from deep for South Carolina last season. Ugusuk started 6 games for the Gamecocks last year and it wouldn’t surprise me if he starts a game or two at West Virginia. Great athlete who can give the Mountaineers a spark on the offensive end and has a solid wingspan that he’ll use to his advantage on defense.

Expect the Helsinki, Finland native to play a key role for WVU this season. @morrisugusuk #UpNext 🏀🏔️

Once #WVU plays their first 5 games of the 2025-26 season, fifth year senior Chance Moore should make an immediate impact for the Mountaineers:

The 6’6 Wing averaged 13.0PPG, 6.5RPG, 1.3SPG & 1.1APG for St. Bonaventure last year. Moore is a versatile prospect with great athleticism. He can rebound the ball at a high level and can drive to the rim for easy transition buckets. Great all-around player that plays physical on the defensive end.

The Brookhaven, Georgia native will thrive in Ross Hodge’s defensive scheme come late November. @chance__moore #UpNext 🏀🏔️

#WVU guard Treysen Eaglestaff will be one of the primary scorers for the Mountaineers in 2025-26:

The 6’6 Senior averaged 18.9PPG, 2.8RPG, 2.4APG & 1.1SPG for North Dakota last season. Eaglestaff is an excellent 3-level scorer that can drive to the basket and hit shots from beyond the arc. He is also an underrated playmaker that will help create opportunities for his teammates to score and is a solid defender.

The Bismarck, ND native should be one of the top newcomers in the Big 12 this year. @treysen.eaglestaff #UpNext 🏀🏔️

Joining #WVU HC Ross Hodge from North Texas, Senior guard Jasper Floyd will look to be the primary ball handler for the Mountaineers heading into the 2025-26 season:

The 6’3 prospect averaged 9.0PPG, 3.9APG, 3.0RPG & 1.3SPG for the Mean Green last year. Floyd plays like a true point guard that makes the right plays when it comes to finding the open man in transition and on ball screens. He also is a three-level scorer that can hit shots from beyond the arc, and isn’t afraid to take it to the rim with contact. Floyd is well known on the defensive end and already familiar with Coach Hodge’s scheme, it works hand in hand.

Expect the Tampa, Florida native to be an X-Factor for West Virginia this upcoming season. #UpNext 🏀🏔️
