We are excited to collaborate for the second time, as Moe Clark & Mariana Marcassa, in this deep dive offering, weaving together somatic practices, vocal improvisation, deep listening, embodied rituals, land-based connection, and collective song. Through individual, group, and relational earth-based practices, we explore how voice and sound can accompany us into the unknown. Collapsing linear structures, we expand cyclical and intergenerational timelines to call “all our relations” back into the circle in acts of reciprocal care, listening, and love. Body is vibrating territory—a place where personal, ancestral, and more-than-human memories find expression through sensation, rhythm, breath, image, silence, and voice. Um ano desse encontro lindo. 11 dias na Praia dos Algodões, deixando a voz encontrar outros caminhos no corpo. Voz que não começa na palavra. Voz que é corpo, matéria, vibração. Voz que é entre. Que escuta e ressoa com a terra, o mar, convoca memórias e inventa outros modos de estar junto. We have a talented lineup of musicians, poets, and - for the first time ever - a sound meditation leader (@ma_somaticpractice :)). We will also be doing a group activity for community bonding. I have such joyful news to share! 🌟 The exhibition Tropi-X: Brazilian Art in Canada, 1970s–Now is finally coming to life. It’s been three years I have been cooking and discussing my presence in this unique art exhibition with the curators @rodrigodalcantara and @alerobin13 . I feel deeply honored to be one of the artist among others incredible artists. Tropi-X will be the largest exhibition of Brazilian art ever presented in Canada, featuring over 70 artworks by 44 artists, celebrating bold and evolving expressions of identity, culture, and the Brazilian-Canadian diaspora. Instead of physical textures, Mariana explored sound textures — intimate, personal, and ancestral . Drawing from Afro-Indigenous Brazilian spirituality and sound therapy teachings, she began creating vibrational landscapes that opened new possibilities for her clients . I was one of them . I came to her with a longing — to feel aligned with my calling . I set an intention, called in my guides, placed a prayer in the space . Mariana held it with me, with clarity, softness, and trust . She crafted soundscapes to help me walk into my future . Her work helped open something in me .
