Day 1 @fameweekafrica 🌟 Today, minister of sports, arts & culture Gayton Mackenzie popped by our stand to have a productive conversation with festival director Dianne Makings! 🗣️ Visitors joined us for a delicious producers breakfast and got to chat with the experts! (The breakfasts will be continuing on Tuesday & Wednesday) ☕️ 🥐 🕹️ @seamonster_entertainment director of client services, Lebo Lekoma, explained how games are cross generational and firmly entrenched in global mainstream culture. 🏆@wat_africa interviewed the “Enkai” Director about her experiences in the animation industry and how her path led her to becoming an Annie award winning director. 💡Founders of @ferin_collective , discussed how to inspire, innovate and elevate your projects through the mastery of 3D Animation and Collaboration. We loved the presentation by Johan from @maancreative , his inspiring keynote provided us with a window into their teams’ studio and their patience and love for this animation form 🤩

Small process video⭐️ I first did a 2D rough pass to use as a guide before jumping into animating the clay. It also helped to see all the different things that I needed to make, I made a regular rocket and a squished rocket to make animating faster for when it takes off and I pre-made a bunch of eyes with and without lids for blinks etc. The little green dudes I made as I went and squished and sculpted them into shape following the reference, I had pre-made the end @maancreative logo beforehand so that it was clean and clear after the smoke fades. @00gly_garcon made such a sick moon, stars, planets and text!🙌 #claymation #animator #stopmotion #clay #animation #rocket
