My shortest race distance of the year, a challenge to get the legs turning over fast on the hills of Central Park, only 14 days post Porto Alegre Marathon in Brazil 🇧🇷

CPTC men & women crushed it across the board in every age group. Big FUN to see my teammates and hang with so many other club team runners pre and post race.

Grateful to my teammate Nigel @nigel_fitzroy for the great on course photos 1,2,3,4 and WMM friend Mike @mike_the_korican for the finish line video slide 5. Stoked to close out the race with a 6:50 mile.

Next up, lots more hill🎢 work in CP to prep for SYD 🇦🇺 @sydney_marathon my 95th marathon and 6th of 2026 on 6 different continents. Hit me up if you’ll be heading down under!

As Fall racing ramps up and Summer races come to an end, we wanted to showcase a few of our team members crushing races this summer.

- Allie Egan Queens 10k first place‼️
- Amy Bonnerot Saunders at Rye Harbor 10k, Rye , NH 2nd place W 50-59
- John Jones 3rd place in the San Francisco Ultramarathon (2 full marathon distance) in July‼️
- Robert Fried Long Island Marathon Weekend won 60-64 age group 10k 45:15.8 🥇
- Zack Rezk winning his age group 20-24 in 2 of the 3 Staten Island Triple Crown series races. Good luck in race #3!👏🏻

CPTC goes International 🇬🇧 🇳🇱 Members of our Roads squad traveled to both London and Rotterdam to take on the 26.2 mile race, highlighting the reach of the club and NYC running community. Congratulations to all who set personal bests and BQ’s! Cheers!!

What a day at the @prospectparktc Cherry Tree 10 Mile Race! Great crowds, weather & 🎢 tough course.

A month ago at Fred Lebow Half I averaged 7:51P and race calculator gave me a goal of 7:42P for today. Surprised and so grateful to run 1:14:48 at 7:29P with last 2 miles being fastest of the day.

Oh Lordy, this was a Stay In the Fight Day! The heat, humidity🥵combo took a big toll🥊#StayIntheFight

Blessed to have so many people out there cheering for me, taking great pics & vids and everyone one of them lifts me up. Shoutout to @olearyracingteam 🍀at mile 17 (check my 👀expression when I finally recognize them🤣 And I know I can always count on @boogiedownbronxrunners section 🙅and the wall of 🍊orange @centralparktc to give me a huge shot of ⚡️💥adrenaline late.

I needed every bit of it as I was cramping from the Willis Ave Bridge right before mile 20, despite taking 6 gels and drinking tons of Gatorade. Thats where the unparalleled NYC crowds deliver, they will you on. And when you tell your friends @drstephplum & Brendon I am death ☠️ you know you’re in trouble😬😜Then I focused on the words @tommy_rivs wrote on my hat, “Keep Moving Forward” to make it to the promised land. 3:58 for my 11th @nycmarathon Finish 🏁 and 67th Marathon.
