13 years together, from Indonesia to New York City ❤️

Sometimes I still can’t believe this is our life now. If you told us 13 years ago that we’d be living in NYC together, spending our weekends working out (we used to hate exercising 😂), going on little dates, and exploring the city, I don’t think we would’ve believed you.

So come spend a weekend with us as an Indonesian couple in NYC! 🇮🇩🗽

One year ago today, I signed my contract with Cocktail Kingdom Management. Without a doubt, I can say this has been one of the best years of my life.

@ckhospitalitygroup has been such an incredible company to work for. Having the support and trust to grow as a manager while doing work I love has meant so much to me.

MACE has given me so much more than an incredible job. It’s given me a team I adore, friendships I treasure, and so many reasons to feel proud of what we do together.

There are obviously so many more people and photos that could be included in this post, but these are just some fun highlights from the past year.

To my team: thank you for welcoming me so quickly, trusting me, and making even the longest nights worth it. Getting to be your GM is something I’ll never take for granted.

I know I say it all the time, but I really am the luckiest manager in NYC. One year down, and hoping for so many more to look forward to. 💜🥂

Today we are celebrating the birthday of our dear friend, Gary “Gaz” Regan, who would have turned 75.

In true Gaz fashion, Eben is using the Negroni Finger Stirrer, a stainless steel cast of the industry’s most famous finger.

On this #ThirstyThursday for adventurous and botanical flavor profiles in your libations and a menu of tasty bites, @macebarnyc needs to be at the top of your NYC list! Inspired by @nico2soto's nomadic travels to over 100 countries and built around unique, botanical-forward spices and savory culinary ingredients, every cocktail here is a work of art. Their small plates to share make this the perfect spot for a friends' catchup while enjoying @50bestbars awarded drinks.

Opened in collaboration with @greg_boehm of @cocktailkingdom back in 2015 originally located in the East Village, Mace has regularly landed spots on many Best Bars lists, including 50 Best World and North America. Nico is widely credited with reviving the clarified milk punch and using advanced tools and techniques for his delicious liquid creations.

The @ckhospitalitygroup bars have always had great food as well and we made an evening out of these seasonal stracciatella stuffed tempura squash blossoms, cheesy double stack shortrib smash burger, as well as other tasty dishes!

The signature namesake Mace cocktail.

Aperol, aquavit, beet juice, orange acid, young Thai coconut cordial, mace mist.

Tempura squash blossoms with the lightest shell of a batter, marinara, stracciatella, basil pistou.

Housemade focaccia with prosciutto and jam.

Smoked cheddar and aged provolone cheese pull on the double shortrib burger.

Our crew leaned savory to start with:

Basil - gin, basil, tomato water, coconut water, lemon, soy whey

Ginger - vodka, Empirical Ayuuk, Oloroso sherry, pea + cauliflower cordial, ginger, CO2

Horseradish - bacon fat + horseradish vodka, tomato, celery, lemon, soy whey, black pepper, shiitake

Market oysters are $2 per during happy hour!

Squash blossoms, artichoke hearts, coconut chicken satay, sweet corn and cheddar dip.

Prosciutto on focaccia with jam.

Burger shots!

Other drinks we got!

Really tasty grilled chicken wing special with honey miso glaze, yuzu aioli.

Excellent chocolate chunk cookie with bruleed marshmallow!

The perfect ending.

After a weekend in Philly, this week's delicious #RGrundown included a holiday / birthday weekend, restaurant opening, and a few great bars where I drank more than I ate. 😋

Dessert at Decoy, tucked below the West Village @redfarm. 🎂

Decoy's peking duck menu is back! After a fire in @redfarm in 2023, the restaurant reopened after being shuttered for two years with a new cocktail bar and special peking duck menu on the lower level. Their peking duck is excellent with pickles and housemade pancakes.

@chubby.nori on the ground floor of @nikuxnyc is open! This Hokkaido uni handroll was super fresh with giant tongues over crispy shiso.

@domodomonyc and @konban_nyc opened @domotobydomo in Closter, NJ and this summer special of cold noodles was really delicious. With their housemade chewy udon noodles in a chilled refreshing yuzu broth with grated radish and scallions.

The wood ear mushroom salad at @chiko_nyc had the most addictive dressing!

@wusdynasty is open! Went with my mom to the friends and family dimsum lunch, where they have carts rotating. These were my favorite at the original Wu's — pan seared shrimp and chive dumplings.

@macebarnyc has excellent cocktails but also great food! Loved these ricotta stuffed squash blossoms.

Went back to @wusdynasty last night for my birthday dinner. Didn't get a ton of pics but it's been a while since I've had this walnut shrimp! Good call by @joanna.lin.

One of my favorite pintxos on the @despananyc crawl — pan con tomate with @cincojotas jamón ibérico de bellota, the best jamón in the world. This pintxo is available for the next week at @cartanewyork with a mini beer or vermouth for just $12.

@bartolonyc's special pintxo for the @despananyc crawl were these mejillones rellenos mussel shells stuffed with a seafood rich bechamel. Super tasty with a vermouth!
