As the first week of classes comes to a close, I wanted to share some of my favourite moments from McMaster Engineering Welcome Week!

It was such a joy to be back for my third Welcome Week. From experiencing it myself, to spending the past two years capturing it through my camera, every year has been an absolute blast!

There’s something very special about watching a new group of students arrive, meet their people, and begin what will hopefully be some of the best years of their lives. I’m incredibly grateful that I’ve been able to be a small part of that journey, and capture so many of the moments along the way.

And of course, none of it would be possible without the amazing Welcome Week Red Suits, who bring so much energy, excitement, and joy to every single day. Thank you for making this week as memorable as it is and for giving me way too many moments to photograph. ❤️

Here’s to another year of engineering, new friendships, unforgettable memories and everything that comes with it. Welcome to Mac Eng! ☄️🔥

The last time our first-years pulled a bus was 2019, but that changes today!

Having had to adapt to U-Hauls over the past few years, the annual bus pull event will have our first-years and Redsuits putting their collective strength together to pull a school bus, and for a good cause no less.

This year, funds raised throughout the week and at the event will support Hamilton’s Neighbour to Neighbour Centre (@n2ncentre).

All are welcome to attend the event happening today (September 4) at Bayfront Park from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. a group of people are working hard to pull a bus you can see off in the distance
