Special thanks to Mia White (New School) and Robert Goodspeed (Michigan) for sharing their extraordinary research with the Urban Studies Colloquium at #MacalesterCollege last night. The main themes involved the advanced methods in the study of racial covenants and the importance of community engaged scholarship in environmental justice methods. (Extra appreciation to JT Roane, KY Taylor, Marcia Chatelain, Paige Glotzer, and William Darity for their award-winning books that shaped the landmark NJ report on reparations which provided the closing note for the evening.) #citylab #urbanstudies

Please help spread the word about this important event happening this Friday! Trump is taking down and censoring our public health research, including shutting down PubMed and other vital public data sites. Beyond that, he's paused many grants and is threatening to revoke financial aid to students at universities that recognize trans people and climate change. The future of democracy and research is in our hands, the time to act is now.

Dr. Trudeau, far left, is pictured here at the East Side Freedom Library with students in his GEOG 277 course "Qualitative Research Methods in Human Geography" -- one of many courses involving collaboration with the CEC. #HeyMac
