First, me and this guy got a plane.

To meet this guy in his "new" hometown!

Halifax! You are a beauty.

City views!

We three drove to Lunenberg. Where we got on this ship you may have heard of.

But also, its really pretty there

Their churches look like this. For real.

Somewhere between here and there, a small town was having a gigantic scarecrow festival

Sasquatch scarecrows!

It was pretty there too.

Then Peggy's Cove
I mean.....

Then, we left Halifax, and drove and drove and drove. But like.... so pretty.

I saw the lake of shinning waters.

Maybe got a little emotional at L.M.'s house.

Onto Charlottetown! Its pretty there too!

One lighthouse.

Another lighthouse.

Another lighthouse.

Woke up one morning morning and got to pet Lorna. Maybe I got a little emotional here too.

So much scenery! More to come.

The last last game of his minor hockey run
Eleven years. It started with my dad promising to pay for it as long as I woke up at five am to get him to practice on time. It ended with me barely staying awake because the games were SOLATE! And everything in between was all him. He loved it at times and didn't love it so much at other times. He always wanted to be there. He never made 'mvp" or scored a hat trick. But he showed up. And he did his best. Even when I forgot to get his skates sharpened. The last game was comedic at best, but that's ok too. It solidified the love of the game. To all the coaches and volunteers over the years, too many to name, thank you. From the bottom of my heart. To my dad who watched from beyond this life for the last few years, I know you were there. To my uncle who put up with my text messages as my way of shouldering the loss of my dad, thank you. To my friends who helped me get him there when I couldn't. Thank you. To my one and only hockey husband.... a world of gratitude for all the laughs. To Michael's Michelle for bringing the cheering squad last nite. To Michael's buddy Liam for showing up. And, of course to my beloved Steenhuizen's for always going above and beyond. Always.
And thanks Michael, for doing all the damned work. Even when you didn't want to. I hope you had the best time.

Today, we had a DAY! Took these three all over the city, about twice. We started at Cypress mountain, then to Stanley Park, then Gastown, then home for a rest and to pick up that lou guy, then a boat tour, and then, icecream! Where clearly my ability to take a group selfie evaporated! I think everyone had fun and now I am nackered! So, off to work tomorrow for a rest.

Odin Appreciation Post: Odin is my brother from Egypt! 🥰🐾

We fostered him as a rescue and he now has his own furever home in the same neighbourhood as me.

He stayed with us on Thursday. We did pack walks and we let him pick which spot to be comf.

Leeloo 🙄 was desperate to be friends with him but he wanted his own quiet space, so she got to practice being in her own quiet space too. 😏
