A dream I once had is now hanging inside the Lopes Shop. 💜

Seeing pieces I designed on the racks at GCU feels so surreal.

This collection brings together so many parts of who I am: my faith ✝️, my years as a GCU Track & Field athlete and school record holder in the 400m hurdles 🏃‍♀️, and my journey as a fitness instructor and designer.

What makes it even crazier? The first time I walked into the shop after the pieces were racked, someone was already purchasing them, and others had already been reserved… before most students were even back on campus. None of that was planned, which made the moment even more special. 🥹

There was a time when having my own designs inside the Lopes Shop was simply an idea in my head.

So to every girl with a dream that feels a little too big: dream it. Believe in it. Work for it. You never know when you’ll walk into a room and realize you’re standing inside something you once only imagined. ✨

So grateful for GCU, the journey that brought me here, and everyone supporting these pieces. 💜

after 4 short years its finally over. getting the opportunity to run at Grand Canyon created some of the most unique and exciting memories of my life. a part of me will miss track and the competition i got to experience for so long, but most of me will be relieved its finished. what i’ll miss the most though is getting to see my teammates and friends everyday in the training room, at practices, on bus rides, and the late nights at hotels. the relationships and friendships are by far the most valuable thing God has given me through this sport. Jesus and the support i received from my family, teammates and friends are the reason i made it through all the injuries and disappointing times. nonetheless, i’m so thankful for everything the Lord put me through and all the things i’ve learned through it all. goodbye track ✌🏼
