We are excited to announce our 2027 16 Pink coaches โ€” Head Coach Kelly Luz and Assistant Coaches Eric Macias and Mandy Torres! Kelly joined Absolute Volleyball Club in 2024 and has five years of coaching experience. A CIF First Team libero and setter from Mills High School, Kelly played college volleyball at College of San Mateo and graduated from Chapman University. She placed third at the 2024 AAU Nationals with her previous club team and has coached both girls and boys across multiple age groups. Eric returns to Absolute Volleyball Club for his second season, bringing a decade of coaching experience across boysโ€™ and girlsโ€™ teams ages 12โ€“18. He has coached with Synergy Force, served as an assistant at Folsom Lake College, and led the varsity program at River City High School. Ericโ€™s teams have earned top finishes, including first place at the 2024 Far Westerns and Salt Lake City tournaments with 14 Liberty. A former standout setter at Cesar Chavez Learning Academies and Sacramento State Menโ€™s Club Volleyball, he brings both high-level playing and coaching experience to AVC. Mandy returns to Absolute this season, and we are so thrilled to welcome her back. She has been coaching across the 12s to 17s age groups since she joined us as a founding coach at AVC 20 years ago. She has also served as assistant coach for the womenโ€™s beach and indoor volleyball at College of Marin and head coach at Terra Linda High School. She holds a Masters in athletic administration and exercise science, and most recently served as the Director of Athlete Health and Performance at Marin Juniors Volleyball Club.

Micโ€™d up with AVC 12 Black ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ–ค This team is equal parts comedians and competitors. Theyโ€™re constantly cracking jokes, making each other laugh, and somehow always have something to say. ๐Ÿ“ฃ Behind all the laughs is a group that works incredibly hard! They show up to every practice ready to compete, challenge one another, and put in the work to keep getting better. They know how to have fun, but when itโ€™s time to lock in, they never shy away from the challenge!๐Ÿ’ช The energy is contagious, the effort is nonstop, and the team chemistry speaks for itself. Turn the volume up and enjoy what a real 12 Black practice sounds like! ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿคฉ ๐ŸŽฅ: @maciasvisuals
