When I was younger, I was never forced into religion—it was always my choice. If I wanted to go to church, we would go, and if I didn’t, that was okay too. I’ve always believed in the Lord and in the Bible, but for a long time I didn’t know what my next steps were. Today, I decided to give my life to Jesus Christ, and it is easily one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I didn’t really get what people meant by life changing moments until today. It felt like something inside me was being released and renewed at the same time, like I was stepping out of who I used to be and into someone brand new. This day was one of the most meaningful days of my life. I’m so thankful for God’s love, His faithfulness, and His hedge of protection over my life. I didn’t take this step alone. I was surrounded by family and friends who loved, encouraged, and supported me every step of the way. I’m so thankful for everyone who has helped me grow in my faith, and I’m excited to continue walking with Christ.
