POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I’m finally ready to share my photos from my art show and the story behind it.

The past two years have been a dirty stumble into grief as I learn its timeless dance. In April of 2024 my Lola passed just days before I was supposed to see her one last time. May 2024 I moved my family away from a place my heart aches for every day. June 2025 my marriage ended 2 days before our 8 year anniversary.

Honoring my authenticity means allowing what I create to reflect what I’m living through. In the summer of 2025, I knew in my heart my pain could no longer live in my body and turned to creating to give the pain a place to exist outside of me. Leaning into the land, pieces of my ancestors, and the support from those around me, I began to alchemize the intensity of my emotions and my experience.

This is a story of waking up to the realization that the old world no longer exists. The vessel destroyed and its contents in a puddle on the floor.
My life as I knew it has been burned to the ground. Roles, identities, dreams, and purpose laid to rest, to be redefined, and resurrected. I have set out on a quest to do just that.

These photos are heavy and intense and uncomfortable. But so is life and I’m here to talk about it because I won’t pretend that it’s not. I share this as an invitation. As a wild howl out into the world in hopes that those who resonate will howl back. In hopes that you will feel the tug of the invisible string that connects us all as human beings. To remind people that the act of feeling, expressing, and creating to its fullest is one of the most beautiful acts of rebellion. And joy cannot exist if all emotions are not welcome.

I have so much gratitude to everyone who helped me bring this project to life and encouraged me to share such a deep part of me. My mom, Abby, Anna, Wendy, Hannah, Leo, Rosie, Jen, Kayla, Jenna, Quincy, and Taylor to name a few.

As much as this is grief, this is also a celebration. This marks such a big turning point in who I am and my future as a human and an artist and I am so determined to continue on this path. The human experience is something else and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

last month was my first art show!!!

to be in a space where art and artists are tangible and creative connection happens face to face was surreal and so magical. it was something I didn’t realize my soul needed and will always hold a special place in my heart.

so much of our heart and soul goes into creating. sharing it can be so scary!! my installation was birthed out of the pain of a really intense chapter in my life, and to be met with so much encouragement, excitement, and celebration was so healing and confirming.

I am so grateful to @madefornashville for the opportunity, for all the new connections I made, and for everyone who has been a part of my journey❤️
