Another one of my very favorite projects, the circus in the trees began when I saw a photo on @pinterest of a tent illuminated from within in a forest. I dreamed up a circus troupe that traveled from town to town sharing their acts with the locals but only performed at night under the canopy of the trees.

As with many of my projects, my wildly talented friends were my muses. I’m so grateful so many people agree to go along with my wild ideas. This project especially was a team effort. @iphilgood and @heelgrabber850 were lifesavers with video, lighting, and special effects. @queen_astraea helped with so much of the makeup. @partyofvu came in clutch with the rigging work for the trapeze work. We wouldn’t have had our little “lion” without @thedailydewster and @mackay_fireheart . @erin_elizz kept me sane and made supply runs with @chateaubarefoot. @sedatedspaces setup the whole “makeup/greenroom” set with things he found around the Airbnb property. And the whole cast bro uhhh he amazing costumes. We worked until about 3am on this and I think our hard work really shows.

You are all magical.

Welcome to the Pink Pony Inn, home to Ye Olde Backyard Ren Fest! BYRF 2025 was a blast (or as @russellrinker put it, “ye olde blast”, which imo sounds like another term for cannon fire* lmao); thanks to everyone who showed up and made it such a fun time! We already have ideas brewing for BYRF 2026 and are thinking late April, so inscribe that into your calendars — it’s gonna be one event you won’t want to miss! 🏰🦄🍻🛡️⚔️

*In writing this caption, I learned that “cannonade” is another term for cannon fire. That makes me think of cannons + Gatorade?? Anyway maybe there’s an idea for a themed mixed drink next year…

There were so many good photos of you I couldn’t pick just one✨ and there are so many words to describe the pleasure of being acquainted with you that I wouldn’t be able to fit them all in one place even if I tried.
.
I am overwhelmed by the vastness of you, and I hope that some of your tenacious passion for everything you do will rub off on me as our relationship blossoms💕
.
For now, I’m happy with the honor of calling you a business partner💕 here’s to what I know will be a long and prosperous partnership, and an even longer friendship💕
