although i came short of my goal, i can say being apart of team illinois has meant so much to me over the last 4 years. from not placing my first year to being a national finalist has been the biggest improvement for me. i would like to say thank you to all my coaches who have got me to this point. thank you to my teammates for always pushing me to be better and lastly, thank you to my family for always believing in me. onto the next four years...commitment coming soon🙏🏼

“A Champion Is Someone Who Gets Up When They Can’t”

A special person told me that this sport doesn’t owe you anything. At first I was confused but when I lost my Quarterfinals and had a choice to feel sorry and give up or come back and fight my way to third I final understood what she meant by that saying.

Knowing I put everything into this tournament and I still came up short stings and I know it’s gonna sting for a while but I’m gonna hold my head high because no one can take away what I’ve accomplished on this level.

I wanna thank every single coach and teammate I’ve ever had, it’s because of you guys I am the women I am today. Thank you all for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself and for always being in my corner through the goods and bads.

While this isn’t the end of my career it’s the end of a very special chapter. As this door closes a new one opens and while I’m scared to walk through this door I know I will be okay because of everyone I have in my corner.
