When the phone rang a few months ago, Mac Marcoux figured he’d missed a message at work. Instead, he learned he was being inducted into the Canadian Disability Hall of Fame, for a nomination he didn’t know existed. Last week, with his mom and wife beside him, it became official. 🇨🇦

Quand le téléphone a sonné il y a quelques mois, Mac Marcoux croyait avoir manqué un message au travail. Il a plutôt appris son intronisation au Temple de la renommée canadien des personnes en situation de handicap, pour une nomination dont il ignorait l’existence. La semaine dernière, entouré de sa mère et de sa femme, c’est devenu officiel. 🇨🇦

Please join us in congratulating Dr. David Legg, Mac Marcoux and Brad McCannell, who were officially inducted into the Canadian Disability Hall of Fame on October 8! 👏

It was a wonderful celebration of their outstanding achievements and contributions at the 33rd Annual Canadian Disability Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon, presented by CIBC, at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to honour our newest inductees and make the occasion so special!

Last week I had the incredible opportunity, through @nocnsf and @teamnl, to experience the @paralympics up close. 🏂

From seeing the flame being lit and watching competitions, to talking with athletes, visiting the Paralympic Village, touring Ottobock, meeting with the Dutch Ministry of Health Welfare and Sports, pin trading with people around the world, doing an interview with @nossport, talked with @parawatcher for his Milano Cortina book, and attending the TeamNL celebration. It was an unforgettable week full of inspiration. 🤩

Very grateful for this amazing experience. 🙏🏼
My flame is burning even brighter now… on the road to 2030! 🧡🔥

FULL PULL: it was a BIG day @paralympics today. In my opinion DH is one of the greatest showcases of skill and courage; the athletes took full advantage of the venue and put on a great performance. So hyped to see my old coache @lassetheswede son @kalle__eriksson show the world the power of the human spirit through grit and grace.

FULL CIRCLE: it’s been 22 years since I broke my back, 12 years since my last podium performance @paralympics - being able to witness to the madness, pure performance and evolution of sport in the company of my family, friends, mentors, former teammates and coaches was a blessing that could only be matched by the majesty of the mighty Dolomites that entrenched the day.

Having the privilege to be able to present the medals to my former teammate @oatwayk 🇨🇦 the rising star @no_leg_nelis 🇳🇱 and the great Norseman @jesper.sp 🇳🇴was surreal, emotional and felt like a gift, a sort of homecoming from above…
