Mass Appeal, the global entertainment company rooted in hip hop culture, and Whatnot, the largest live shopping platform in North America, the UK, and Europe, today announced a partnership for New York Comic Con 2026, taking place October 8–11 at the Javits Center in New York City. Throughout the four-day convention, Mass Appeal will position its NYCC presence as the Home of Hip Hop Collectibles, bringing together music, art, comics, fashion, sports and collectible culture under one roof for a truly immersive and interactive experience like no other. You can visit the Mass Appeal Comic Con Experience by visiting their LivePlex at Booth #1000. At the center of the experience will be the Whatnot Liveplex – a 5,000 square foot shopping mall-inspired activation – featuring Mass Appeal and Whatnot programming where fans in attendance and audiences watching around the world will be able to participate in a continuous slate of live shopping events, exclusive product drops, auctions, artist appearances and cultural programming. Adding to the weekend’s celebration of landmark Hip Hop moments, Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Fugees’ landmark album The Score with an exclusive, limited-edition superhero-inspired art print created for New York Comic Con. Hill and Jean will appear at the Mass Appeal x Whatnot experience to sign copies of the collectible for fans. The moment will also celebrate another defining release from 1996, Nas’ “If I Ruled the World (Imagine That),” featuring Ms. Lauryn Hill, with a limited-edition 30th anniversary T-shirt and hoodie honoring the iconic collaboration. Together, the releases revisit two enduring pieces of Hip Hop history through art, apparel and collectible culture.

Rakim, Kurupt, and Masta Killa’s landmark collaborative album, The Godbody, is now available! The Godbody contains a significant milestone in Rakim’s storied career, as it includes his first solo, self-produced track in fifteen years, “A Different Kind” (the single trended on social media on two different occasions upon its release), offering fans an intimate look at the artistry of a man widely regarded as one of the genre’s most influential voices (Eminem has called him “probably the greatest rapper of all time”). The Godbody is more than an album; it’s a landmark moment for Hip-Hop, but it’s also a mission that aligned three of hip-hop’s most respected lyricists to deliver a body of work built upon mutual respect, legacy, uncompromising artistry and coastal unity. Recorded across both coasts: Kurupt representing California and Wu-Tang Clan’s Masta Killa and Rakim representing New York, the project was built to showcase the diversity and versatility of the trio while embodying a vision first imagined by the late Tupac Shakur; to unite the greatest emcees from the East and West Coasts into a single, undeniable body of work. The Godbody delivers on that vision, aiming to give fans the feeling of “One Nation.” The Godbody is produced in its entirety by Rakim and Nick Wiz, and features collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, KRS-One, Daz Dillinger, Kool G Rap, Buckshot, Kokane, and Killa Sin among others.

DJ Muggs and Questlove link up in Hollywood, California for a deep dive into the creative vision that made Cypress Hill one of Hip-Hop’s most groundbreaking acts. From SP-1200 grit and Psychedelic textures to Rock-infused boom bap, Muggs traces his journey from Queens to Bell Gardens, revisits the making of several classics. Along the way, he discusses his latest collaboration, Don’t Call Me Lucky, with Los Angeles lyricist TF, mentoring The Alchemist, and why today’s drumless, loop-driven renaissance feels like a continuation of ideas he was exploring decades ago. Still driven by curiosity over convention, Muggs explains why chasing dusty, unconventional sounds remains at the heart of everything he creates. Episode in bio
