🥬I don’t know about you, but I can’t get enough fresh produce lately! 😋

🥬If you are someone like me who needs more brassicas in your diet, I encourage you to make this salad.

Rainbow Cauliflower Salad

1️⃣ 1 bag of multicoloured cauliflower from @hubers_farmmarket

2️⃣ 1 head of organic broccoli from @nuttersnatural

3️⃣ 1/8 cup of: sprouted pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, pistachios, and macadamia nuts!

4️⃣ 1/2 cup of chopped dried organic figs, raisins, or dried apricots

5️⃣ 1/8 cup dehydrated, freeze dried, or fresh purple onions

➡️ Dressing: 2 cups homemade mayo or any mayo mixed with 1 Tbsp vinegar, 1 Tbsp of maple syrup, 2 crushed garlic cloves, 1/4 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 /4 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp mustard, and 1/4 tsp ground cumin.

➡️ Serve with a protein of choice. I enjoyed a barbecued pasture raised organic chicken breast from @macpherson_meats from @nuttersmedhat and a side of the sweetest organic honey dew🍈 from @nuttersmedhat (fabulous for digestion!)

🍽️What’s on your plate? Do you enjoy brassicas: cauliflower, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage?

🥬 Let me know below what you are thoroughly enjoying this season, I’d love to hear. 👇

☀️I don’t know about you, but my house is the most neglected things in my life right now. There’s only so much summer and it hasn’t really happened yet this year. It’s been so strangely cold and wet. So on the days that it’s nice I wanna get outside!

☀️This was a really easy meal to throw together. I used pastured organic chicken breasts from @macpherson_meats, locally grown peppers, @gogoquinoa rice noodles, and a package of @riega_foods Hawaiian chicken and rice seasoning from @nuttersnatural. I topped with some dehydrated, purple onions for some extra crunch.

☀️ It makes great freezer meals for when you just need to grab and go.

☀️ Come back tomorrow when I’ll post my peonies recipes.

☀️ What is your grab and go, go to meal when you have lots on your plate? Pun intended. 😏

❤️ I know what you are thinking, “ew” but hear me out. Most people don’t love organ meat but there are tricks to making it taste great. My kids are fussy and I kid you not, they LOVE these.

❤️ Why would you eat chicken hearts? Well, first of all they are loaded with vitamin B 12 ( an essential vitamin for cellular metabolism, nerve function, etc ), zinc, coq10 (helps you at a cellular level to create cell regeneration=energy), high in iron, copper, folate, riboflavin, and more!

❤️I get pastured, organic chicken hearts from @macpherson_meats from @nuttersnatural. I sauté them in some ghee or avocado oil until they start to turn brown. Then I add some @madegoodfoods bbq sauce and some sea salt. They are a hit. And if you have little people, these are awesome for growth and development.

❤️If you can’t get over the appearance but want the benefits, just toss them in a blender and add to chilis, stews, etc.

❤️Come chill @thewholeplatter if you love learning about food. And as always appreciate when you like, and share my content to information out to others. ✅
