Der Drache und die Jungfrau: Die Integration des Weiblichen

Der Held muss den inneren Drachen überwinden, um zur reinen, Wunder wirkenden Liebe zu finden.

Der Weg des Helden aus der Materie in den Geist.
Während sich die Kirche bei ihrer Legende vom heiligen Georg auf die Tötung des Drachens und Rettung der Jungfrau beschränkt, zeichnet die nordische Überlieferung ein umfassendes Bild vom Weg des Mannes zur Ganzheit.

«Ganz», «heil» oder «heilig» ist tatsächlich, wer Ganzheit («Heiligkeit») erreicht hat.

Dabei symbolisiert der innere Drache das Ego, welches es zu überwinden gilt, um reine Liebe und ewiges Leben zu finden.

Eine tiefe Naturverbundenheit und Achtung dem Leben gegenüber gehört zur Verehrung der mütterlichen Seite der Existenz.
Das Märchen thematisiert den Weg des Mannes und des Helden-Bewusstseins zur Ganzheit.

You've seen it in stories, you've probably seen it at Thessaloniki Comic Con this May (or other recent local events), it was about time for it to have its own post! My very own, original interpretation of Arwen's Evenstar in macramé! Having been on my mind for over a year, I tried to get as close to the original, at the same time avoiding to copy other artists' similar work I had seen. And I'm pretty proud of myself for achieving that! Lord of the Rings fans (or not), what do you think? 🧝‍♀️
