A letter to 2025

Dear 2025,
You weren’t easy.
You asked more of me than I thought I had, and there were moments I wished you had been gentler. But looking back now, I understand why you weren’t.

You were necessary.

You taught me things I couldn’t have learned any other way — how to sit with discomfort, how to grow through uncertainty, how to keep going even when I didn’t feel ready. You challenged me, tested me, and reshaped me. And even when I didn’t realize it at the time, you were quietly making me stronger.

I didn’t walk through you alone.
I had people who stayed, who laughed with me, who held me up when I felt tired, who made the hard days softer just by being there. The love I was surrounded by is what carried me through you. That’s what I’ll remember most.

I’m ending this year changed — not perfect, not finished, but more myself than I was when it began. And for that, I’m grateful.

So goodbye, 2025.
Thank you for the lessons, the challenges, and the people who made it all worth it.

I’m ready for what comes next.
