thank you volleyball!!🏐

wow, I’ve dreaded this moment forever. thank you volleyball for the best 11 years a girl could ask for. I started this sport at 6 years old and I cannot imagine life without it. I’m so grateful for every life lesson this sport has taught me. thank you to my teammates and coaches who helped me throughout my career. God really knew what He was doing when I picked up a volleyball for the first time. thank you so much Jesus for your unconditional love that allows me to play this game. saying I’m blessed is an understatement. I’m so thankful for the time on the court these past few years. I can’t imagine not going to practice tomorrow and never putting on my knee pads again. I know the Lord works for the Good though. this is just a chapter of my life and I cannot wait to see what the Lord’s plan looks like for me. volleyball, you were one of the best things that came into my life and my heart will forever miss you!🩵🩵

It’s hard to accept I won’t ever play volleyball competitively again, but I am so grateful for the memories and friendships it’s given me. I decided to play volleyball in 7th grade just for fun not knowing it would quickly become just as competitive as softball. I’ll miss sliding on the floor after a ball and landing into a chair or the bleachers or even someone’s knee. I’ll especially miss the people I play next to. Thank you volleyball for some of the funniest years of my life. 🩵🩵#senior #volleyball #falcon

7 years of memories, friendships, lessons, and love for the game. From the first time I touched the court to the last second, volleyball has given me so much more than just a sport. Forever grateful for every moment, every teammate, and every opportunity to play. Here’s to the memories that made it all worth it! 🩵

Dear Volleyball,

I honestly don’t even know how to process that it’s actually over. Walking off that court for the last time tonight felt so surreal, and it’s hitting me that I’m really hanging up my jersey for good. You’ve been my whole life for the past 8 years—my stress relief, my second home, and the place where I made my absolute best friends. I’m going to miss the chaos of practice, the long bus rides, and even the cardio circuits that we all hated at the time.

It’s weird to think I won’t be lacing up my shoes for another game. This sport was so much more than just a game to me; it was where I learned how to stay strong, how to rely on my girls when I was struggling, and how to keep going even when we were down by ten. We grew up on that court together, and leaving it feels like leaving a huge part of who I am. The gym is going to feel so empty without us, and I’m definitely not ready for the reality that my time here is done.

Thank you for everything—the wins, the losses, and all the memories in between. You pushed me harder than I ever thought I could go and showed me what I was actually capable of. I gave you everything I had, and even though I’m excited for what’s next, I’m going to miss this so much it hurts. Thanks for being the best part of my life; I wouldn’t trade these years for anything.🩵🏐
