When we set out to film our teaser, we didn’t expect Nikki’s story to impact our crew so deeply.

Her story of masking, feeling different, and wanting to be accepted is something many of us can relate to,with or without a connection to autism.

Have you ever felt like you had to hide a part of yourself just to be accepted?

Help us share Nikki’s story. Follow, share, and join us in creating space for stories like hers to be heard. 💙

Ask us what we did during our 6 hour flight delay. Luckily, London’s always worth the wait.

Meet the team for The Big Bad! Divine Riot Founding Company Member Madalyn St. John is the glue that has held this show together, from her delicate storytelling through our prop fabrication, to doing anything and everything it takes to put up a ferocious indie production like ours. We are truly not worthy. To get to know her more, read her bio below!

Madalyn is an actor, writer, director, and producer who often does all of these jobs at the same time. Previous thusly hyphenated works include an award-winning short movie musical, “Repetition Rhapsody” (2019), the upcoming short, “Too Strong a Current” (2026), original anthology plays Unattended Baggage (2018) and The A Train Anthology (2024), and the short films “Arrangements” (2021), “Chaperones” (2018), and “Hott Yoga” (2018). She has studied voice, Meisner, stage combat (small sword, unarmed), dynamic breathwork, long-form improv and sketch writing (UCB). Proud member of AEA, SAG-AFTRA, and Divine Riot.

This is a @madalynstjohn appreciation post. My bestie from another testie… 😅 The asst director of @thebigbadplay and one of my all time fave humans. That is all.

Also we are always unintentionally matching. As exhibited by wearing a vest and jeans unplanned.
