How could I afford to become an (indie) author?

Here’s a 40 second story about my artistic journey.

I couldn’t cover everything, especially bummers and rejections, but those are part of the game. And yeah, having my first draft rejected helped me gaining strength and confidence. 💪

If noone wants to invest in yourself, be the first!

Cover reveal for OUR SOULS WE KEEP 🔥💀

@coverdungeonrabbit ATE with this cover I am seriously in awe at everything she creates 🤤👌🏻 literally so grateful for her and her ability to bring my stories to life in these beautiful covers!

@madcursed gets credit for the GORGEOUS art used in slide 4 of Itale and Tantien (chapter six, yall 😏). Highly recommend their work if you’re looking for art! Such a pleasure to work with 🫶🏻

OUR SOULS WE KEEP is a novella situated between book 3 and 4 of the Whispered Tales series. While it is optional and could be read on its own, you won’t wanna miss this small side quest with this charming elvish pirate captain and the necromancer learning to grow into his own power. I would recommend not reading unless you’ve read the first three books, but it’s not completely necessary!

Perfect for fans of:
• MM romance & trans representation
• small, bingeable reads
• pyromancer pirate x necromancer
• tension 🔥 and just the tiniest hint of 🌶️
• love confessions
• dragons, witches, cvlts, and dèmons
• sea battles
• vampire pirates

A GROWING DARKNESS STIRS IN THE NORTH.

Itale has grown used to life with the Misfits as they face down the cvlts of Vilanthris and their schemes to awaken the long-dèad dragon g0ds. But when rumors surface of a weapon capable of slaying g0ds, the Misfits must divide their strength. While the others head west, Itale joins a small company bound for the icy northern seas to uncover the truth.

The voyage will test more than their resilience. Aboard the Firebrand, Itale finds himself drawn to its ever-charming captain, Tantien Kindroth—a man haunted by his own demons and temptations that could lead them astray. As danger closes in and their course drives them into the heart of peril, both their willpower and their hearts must weather the storm.

•••••

OSWK is officially up on goodrèads and the ebook will be available for pre0rder soon! Tentative release day is October 14th 😍 Keep an eye out for ARC sign ups — I will be sending ARCs out closer to release for this one and physical formats will be available on release. So so excited to take you along Itale and Tantien’s journey!

Chronicle.

Art reveal time - bc I’m in the trenches of revisions and so close to done. 95% there.

When I asked @madcursed to make this moment possessive and heart-shatteringly vulnerable for Airik because there’s no way someone can suffer like him and not have it spill over, I was not expecting the masterpiece that was delivered.

Just…everything. How he’s holding her. Her surrender and peace with it. THE TEAR!!! This piece was everything I wanted and more.

I can’t wait to share Airik’s and Nora’s story with you all so you can be part of the happy ending they deserve. I also appreciate the kind words in my DMs from everyone who’s taken a moment so far to reach out—it means a lot to a micro baby author with nothing out yet haha.

Speaking of things not out yet — my site is coming soon! The link for my newsletter is in my bio—subscribe to get exclusive access to art I won’t post here (some of it NSFW), ARCs, and other updates.

PS. I have an obscene amount of art coming. So follow if you enjoy that.
