NEW BLOG POST: This semester, two @iuijournalismpr students have been participating in a new @wishtv8 internship program called the Multicultural Media Producing Program. Students in the program spend four hours a week at the WISH-TV studios, where they work alongside industry professionals and develop journalism skills. The internship provides instruction on newsgathering, newscast producing, and TV show producing.

“The MMPP is a fantastic experience and I’m very grateful to have been a part of the inaugural class,” senior Adam Peterson said. “I would recommend it to any journalism student interested in broadcast news.”

WISH-TV is seeking interns for the program for the Spring 2024 semester. Interested in applying? Send a resume and a statement on why you are interested in the news industry and this internship program to: Meghan Stratton at megan.stratton@wishtv.com.

Happy birthday!! This is a big one. 18. Wow, you have been conducting yourself as an adult since you were about 9 years old and now it’s official. Don’t forget it’s ok to act childish sometimes, just look at your dad. I could not be more proud of you You are an amazing person and I’m lucky to call you my family Love love love

Well, you’re 17 today. That may not seem like as big a deal as last year or next year, but you are about to be an only child( at our house anyway) so on your 17th year you will be receiving all of the praise and scrutiny. I think you are up to the job. I know you will continue to impress and confound me If I can be half the father to you that you are daughter to me I will be over achieving. I am just glad I get to call you my friend as much as my family. I love you Maddie, happy birthday
