Hallelujah for Dominoes being right across the street

Hallelujah for aloe and liquid IVs

Hallelujah for a group of guys who I couldn’t love any more

Hallelujah for the little blonde kid I met 7 years ago at 6th grade camp drop-off who became a friend to me and an absolute hero to these boys

Hallelujah this is just the beginning of this journey

Hallelujah for a generation that is searching for more

Hallelujah to the man on the middle cross who didn’t owe my debt, but He paid it all

30 recap:
- Rediscovered some old passions
- Lost, regained, re-lost and regained the same 10 lbs about a dozen different times
- Said yes more
- Turned some pages, but didn’t close any books
- Fell in love with the life God has given me today, not the one I think I’m waiting for tomorrow

Excited for what my third straight year of turning 29 has in store!

7 years ago I got a text from @kmartter with a link attached to it. She simply said “hey, Buckhead church is apparently looking for small group leaders for their middle school program Transit. Thought you’d be interested”. I didn’t know it at the time, but a piece of my heart was missing and a vital chapter of my story had yet to be written before knowing this group of students. Jesus eloquently wrote that story over the past 7 years as only He could. It started with a bellyflop competition at 6th Grade camp with @cmartter. That turned into small group via zoom during Covid with special guest @ryryoung joining from our apt living room. Which then turned into 4 years of Sunday nights in the BC attic with @paul.brown.4.
Leading this group of guys has taught me things I never knew I needed. It’s made Sunday my favorite day of the week. They have taught me the importance of patience… (and my lack thereof at times).
More than that, Jesus used this group to teach me how we were called to live: all for Him and all for each other. The local church is more than a building with sermons and songs. It’s a movement to inspire others to live like Jesus. I’ve heard it said “the Church is God’s agent of transformation personally, culturally, and globally.”
7 years… almost a quarter of my life. Through trials, celebrations, and everything in between, this group of young men has truly reflected what the church is called to be. I thank God every day that I said yes 7 years ago.
There are so many things I could write about these guys but I’ll leave it with this: Thank you class of ‘26. You truly did change my life for good.

Love y’all. Be good,

Paul and Will
