Rusty Calrissian Deebs Simondet has crossed the rainbow bridge to Elysium. Lucky are we who could witness him.

Rusty was rescued from Secondhand Hounds in Minneapolis on September 1, 2014. He had to be smuggled out of his foster house in order to be adopted. Such was his life. He was previously a vagabond and gigolo on the streets of St. Louis ("go Rams" he'd always say), where he to this day has hundreds of illegitimate love children.

In life his vices were drinking water to excess, cronchin' bones, running up that hill (but never down), hanging out of car windows at speed, and kissing his sweet mama deebs. His accomplishments are too extensive to list in full, so we humbly present an abbreviated version:

🎓 Triple doctorate holder across various fields, the specificity and granting institutions of which are of no concern

🐻 Almost fought a mama bear and her cub in the Boundary Waters wilderness. At night.

🐴 Almost bull-rushed not one but four horses who dared to exist while he was out for a hike

❄️ Actually escaped the prison of his grandparents rambler in the dead of winter and was nearly lost in the foot-deep snow.

📨 Also actually escaped a moving vehicle at a post office and made it two parking lots over

🩸 Murdered 3ft of finished carpet, in addition to countless tissues, boxes and tampons (RIP)

⛺ An extensive hiker who conquered peaks and hearts around Arizona, Minnesota, California, Nevada, and Iowa

He is preceded in rainbow-bridging by his lovers Zeus and Beatrice, as well as his long-lost brother Artax. He is survived by his sister and nemesis Myra, mama deebs Wendy, daddy deebs Phil, and his biological fathers Jason Mamoa, Kirk Cousins and Clint Eastwood.

He was a good, happy boy and will be dearly missed. We love you bubs of bubs.

A week in Hilton Head with the whole family was a damn fine time, despite hobbling and rolling around on one foot.

Parasailing, boating for dolphins, exploring marshes for wild gators (brilliant idea), day tripping to Savannah, birding, sunsets and sunrises. Not to mention plentiful time with a great and supportive family.

Can't wait to do it again in 2 years 🙏
