The SPX haul!
The current to-read pile is completely out of hand so I went light with pickups especially focusing on vending at the expo. Despite that I still got a bunch of cool books and stickers, some I picked up and some were trades. Astro had to pose with my overflowing small press collection at the end.

Full list:
The SPX @spxcomics program guide
Cover art by Whit Taylor @whitltaylor

Nancy by Caroline Cash @cash_browns
This was the only book I was planning to get before the show, excited I picked this one up!

Moving Day by Pam Wye @pamwye
My table neighbor Pam! Traded a copy of DNT for this and it looks fantastic.

Nostalgic Maladies by Timmy Cronin @timmytattoocronin
My other table neighbor Tim! I love short stories collections especially ones with horror vibes so I’m really glad to add this to my collection, this was also a DNT trade.

Bunch of stickers and a print by different folks.
@pamwye @cottonbook @pkohberger @maddymorps
I’m not sure who did the little bear print unfortunately! But was a trade for one of my artist card paintings.

Sal No.1 by E. B. Sciales @ebsciales
The cartooning in this looks awesome, not sure what it’s about but I love the style and had to pick it up when I came across it.

Tales from Electricopolis Vol. 1 by Pauli Kohberger @pkohberger
Another trade but from my friends from across the show floor. Love the blend of art and short stories and looking forward to checking this out!

And lastly the little guidebook from Fallingwater @visitfallingwater
On the drive back to the mitten we stopped by Fallingwater which was an awesome experience. Love this little book that came with it. So much more extensive than what would typically come with a museum or architecture tour so I wanted to include it here.

Having a great time at @fieldmuseum with the gang for the Pokémon Fossil Exhibit! It’s very cool sculptures that have their in real life inspirations next to them learned all about archeology while reliving a thirty year old Pokémon experience!

BICS 2026!
Had a blast in Brooklyn (and the bay winds hit me with a blast back)! Went on a fun side quest to the Upper West Side with @tinyvikingdesigns to Joan of Arc Park, and met up with a few of the Xomik crew for the first time in person! Got to meet a bunch of amazing artists and writers, and cant wait to read from the books I got!

XOMIK DREAMZ IS HERE!

You’re going to have to believe me when I say I’ve spent the last 30 minutes opening up my heart about how much this book means to me, how thankful I am to work with such an amazingly robust group of artists, how this is a highlight of my comix career, and how this book was a 7 month endurance treat designed to boggle the mind and shatter the will of the humble editors and that someone despite it all we managed to kill the beast and hang its head above my mantle. Instead I’ll keep it brief: this is a turning point. I’ve learned from Xomik Bük issue 3 that my job as an editor is to best exemplify the courageous contributors who are up to the absurd commitments presented to them in the hopes of creating a unified final product that is greater than the sum of its pieces. This is what we made. Thank you to everyone.

XOMIK DREAMZ is available on my online store (link in bio).
